I just got her with the 70% off coupon for just over 5k doubloons. I needed something to get more secondary hits to complete the “weekly havock” missions…she is worth it. With no commander and just the ship upgrades she can shoot out 9km. Can’t wait to see what she can do when I get Fernández! Special thanks to Derka for his amazing videos. This was my Black Friday 2023 purchase. Something to know: you have to play and Win 10 rounds with the universal commander before you unlock the specialized dude. I ended up playing them in AI because… blue team. But, BUT, once you unlock the main guy, this ship sings beautifully. Just keep in mind, there’s a bit of a grind ahead when you buy the boat. Great video, as always.

Gonna copy and paste my comment from SpartanElite43's comment section because I'm too lazy to fully rewrite it Some may look at the ship and think its a bad design as a battleship, but I reject that sentiment for 1 big reason: Philosphy of use. Much like Agincourt, it is a HEAVILY defensive oriented ship meant to patrol regional waters and smash would-be invaders with overwhelming fire. That's why it doesn't follow a fast battleship design philosophy. No interest in projecting power across entire oceans. The immense weight of its guns and turrets would have massively reduced its fuel capacity to add up on displacement. Combine that with the huge crew needs (seriously, this thing would probably have a 3,500-4,000 man crew) due to the turrets, long term supply storage is limited. But that was Brazil's needs like Agincourt and my god, these designs would have absolutely wrecked an attacking battlegroup

Hey thanks for sharing, you make some valid points. It does seem like an antiquated design compared to other 1910-1920 designs (Hood for instance was laid down in 1916)

I am going to go full SB when I get the commander, including properly meticulous. I remind folks that some commanders are only available through purchase of specific ships, like Swirski was, before they released the line. Now we also have Murray and Farncomb, Pedro and Henrique to finish. GG. Please don't get Atlântico nerfed... I have a feeling she will be my most played ship. I am even willing to lose the the love of 275 dubs to get her the epic mod.

I disagree with making henrique available as a commander without having a ship for him. Id use him as an inspiration and spec into a build using brawler and still maintain a bit of range. Which brings me to haruna, will they at least make her available without having to get the ship?

I love my Atlantico, bought via a 70%-off coupon. Went with a Secondary-heavy build similar to yours (recently Epic'd), and she quickly became a favorite. I personally don't consider a mid-20s speed to be THAT slow generally but, compared to T7s and above in general, I suppose some might consider her as such. But it's not like you do much running away in her, that's for certain. :) One difference in Inspirations chosen. I noted her all-AP main guns, and opted for Von Essen for improved ricochet angles. I can't say how well this has worked for sure, but I am quite happy with the overall performance. Also, for reasons I cannot explain, I decided her camo was boring. So opted to change appearance to bright green St Patrick's Day camo. She looks damn good. :)

I usually am reluctant to go middle in a BB as it seems to draw a lot of attention from left AND right at the same time. I think if you can do it we’ll go for it but you can’t go in right at the start or you will be spotted very quickly

I've had my Atlantico for quitea while....such a good ship, got her a full secondaries build @ 11.6 reach...had to sacrafice the dispersion but as long as you know where your shooting; give +extra range on your shots you should still hit like bricks.

The ship is great now, the one major problem with it still is that the large caliber secondaries get destroyed WAY too easily. I was in a game and a Friesland was HE spamming me as he was crossing a gap, he was probably shooting at me for about 15 seconds straight. In those 15 or seconds he destroyed 3 out of 4 large caliber secondary turrets on the right side of my ship. On the 3d model of the ship they seem to be armored, but in the armor viewer there’s no armor on them at all.

That’s how I feel in this ship. Any other battleship I see I feel like it’s an easy kill if it’s one on one. Seems like I average 100k damage a match the secondaries are long range enough it’s easy to get in range and when properly built they just start piling up damage and fire medals. I’ve out DPS’d a BB on one side of me with the secondaries alone while shooting secondaries and main at a different ship. It seems like even my bad games are 3 min long 100k damage with 2 kills and 6 fires.

I love secondary builds so much I try them on some cruisers 😂😂. This ship is absolutely one of my favorites and that commander, dayum never thought war gaming would release another hybrid commander, now if only we could get one for the Americans.

Historically those 15 inch “BRI’ISH” guns were beasts! One of the best battleship guns put to service the BL MK1 15 inch gun would be used on the: Queen Elizabeth class, the Revenge class, the Courageous class “large light cruisers” (these things were battleship sized but had 3 inch belt armour 💀), the Renown class, and then the famed HMS Hood and HMS Vanguard. Lesser known is they were also used on the Erebus class, Marshal Ney class and Roberts class monitors which were basically low draft ships made specifically for shore bombardment. And of course these guns would also be used in costal artillery. The ones on the Vanguard had been taken from previous ships and had modifications done to them to make them worthy opponents even in 1945. The British shells also used super charges meaning they could sling shells about with just as much power as the best of them! Today there are two of these guns left, they sit in front of the Imperial War Museum in London.

@@DerkaGames If you’re interested in history and in London I 100% recommend visiting as it is completely free. They have all sorts of firearms, a nuclear bomb (obviously disarmed lol), tanks, a destroyed zero wreckage, a V1 rocket and more. Obviously make sure to visit HMS Belfast and if you have the time i’d also recommend a trip to Chatham historic dockyard which has Britains very last WW2 era destroyer HMS Caviller, a cold war era submarine, a victorian era warship and some historic buildings and other interesting things!

I have Atlantico and I love this thing, it's so much fun to play. I don't have my Commander fully upgraded yet and only one inspiration, so my secondaries only go out to 10.5. Something that confuses me, though. My secondaries work fine. But some games I've seen ships get as close as 4.5km and no secondaries going off. And it's not because of bad angle. Maybe i'm missing something about how secondaries work?

Be careful that they don't get destroyed, that is a problem for Atlantico. If you are getting spammed, Secondaries can get knocked out permanently.

This ship is by far my favorite BB at T-7. Very well armored and the secondary guns in my opinion are the best in game. I took a years break from this game so it was nice to have a good ship to buy when I came back. Fair seas fellow captains.
