I came across this by accident. To me its such a great analogy to God singing to us. He gives us the free will to love Him. What I do know is that it is a blessing to have when and if we find it. My parents, my brothers and their wives, my sister and her husband and even my son and his wife, have all found longevity in their marriages. There is a common denominator for them all. and that is they chose there mates for other reasons than the ones I've listed below. I'm guilty of choosing the wrong person for the wrong reason, so I am in no-way trying to judge. Unfortunately, as men and women we have a tendency to reach for the shallow (looks, money, image, lust good sex and for some, the fear of being without a mate.) all those things are fleeting because whenever they are weigh against the strength it takes to be committed to a thing, none of those are able to stand the test of time. When we chose wrong we wont have the relationship long. We changed God didn't. Oftentimes our view and feelings about a thing is a result of what we have or have not experienced so it is easier to believe that it no longer exist because the only other option is harder to accept.

I recently within the last 3 months came out of a 12 year relationship that I put my heart and soul into. She told me in March that just passed that she is no longer in love with me for the fact that I worked 3rd shift for the last 9 years (something that we both agreed to for the fact that we would save on child care). Sometimes, we have to bite the bullet until we are stronger, and for our own good.
