I came across this by accident. To me its such a great analogy to God singing to us. He gives us the free will to love Him. But I've resolved that just because it has not happened for me the way I would have liked it to, does not mean that it doesn't exist. What I do know is that it is a blessing to have when and if we find it. My parents, my brothers and their wives, my sister and her husband and even my son and his wife, have all found longevity in their marriages. There is a common denominator for them all. and that is they chose there mates for other reasons than the ones I've listed below. I'm guilty of choosing the wrong person for the wrong reason, so I am in no-way trying to judge. Unfortunately, as men and women we have a tendency to reach for the shallow (looks, money, image, lust good sex and for some, the fear of being without a mate.) all those things are fleeting because whenever they are weigh against the strength it takes to be committed to a thing, none of those are able to stand the test of time. When we chose wrong we wont have the relationship long. We changed God didn't. Oftentimes our view and feelings about a thing is a result of what we have or have not experienced so it is easier to believe that it no longer exist because the only other option is harder to accept.

What I found that works best for me is: 1. stop trying to be his friend (while secretly hoping to get back with him.) 2. stop finding reasons to call him and 3. STOP PLAYING THESE KIND OF SONGS!!!! KEEPING BUSY and get rid of everything that reminds ME of him! I also had to really look at my situation with him and GOD IS A GOOD GODDDD!!! UNDERSTAND MEE!!!

You are absolutely correct. Today was my break up day, first day of the year. I was looking for a gospel sing to listen to, and came across this in my history. Though it hurts, badly... my goals are to stay busy and improve my relationship with God. God brought me and him to this point and the clarification of why will be seen when the pain subsides.
