6 months later and modulars are still crap but on the bright side the Klinger ship mod is doing great with adding actual new ships using the old system.

On PC, you press W to start accelerating and press Spacebar right afterward and it will lock you in place. ;)

Interesting video. It shows the massive firepower of this ship but with the big disadvantage of the single broadside and the turning speed like a galleone. The other captain had no PvP combat expirience, he maneuvered several times into your broadside and did not take the trade wind to escape when you turned against it. If you played vs. an expirienced captain + 1 repair on a BPed Brig you would run for your life or be sunk in 2-3 minutes. First you would have to hope that there is no bug sinking your ship when a single module gets down to 0 HP. Secondly your repair mate could not handle any repairs, the Brig recovered from strong damaged sails and missing lots of planks (and knowing there is no bug coming when a plank is missing). Don't know the speed of the new modular ships so maybe you had a big advantage due to the ship structure not counting into weight - (1kg). I found a Broadsider BP with 14 sails point(only blue) which would allow like 5 large sails? But I guess there are not enough snap points for the sails along the ship. Broadsider is a little different to the Carrack I tested.

I agree with most of what you said. Yes, the Broadsider we have on official has 7 sails lol. They turn like shit but are very fast and have serious firepower 😆 Also, I would not ever fight this turd in a serious fight lol

how did you get the cannons just on one side, i cant take off any modules on the left side to add anything?

I put only crew on the right side of the ship and also added cannon railings on the deck for 30 total cannons

the broadsider is by far a supior ship it does have cannons on both sides when first buildt, but the firepower is nice commpared to a brig however that is not its biggest advantage over a brig, by far its biggest advantage is it can have 4 possible even up to 5 large sails on it with the right blueprint were a brig no matter what you can only get 3 large sails. which means against any brig unless you overweight yourself the broadsidder will always be faster no matter what which speed usually decides how the fights go in atlas

I've only been able to get 4 sails on my broadside. Sail points 18.. is there a trick to placing the sails?

@@anarchy3732 18 sail points should allow for up to 6 large sails (each large is 2.7 sail points so 6 should be = 16.2)

Well, couple different ways. If you are at a dead stop, you turn at a highly increased rate. If you are moving, you can activate your rowing modules to turn sharper. Hope that helps!
