There are cruise missile nukes (I forget the size) and you can target air units with it.

They added that air to air missile (the genie) for the April fools update. Probably the biggest problem (realistically) is that air to air combat isn't super close range, so it would be a waste of a nuclear warhead.

This game has the multiplayer dynamic battlefield experience out of the box that IL-2 and DCS server owners have been trying to create for years. Except in nuclear option it actually works seamlessly.

i absolutely adore this game im a massive nerd for nuclear weapons (like pretty autistic about them) ive been playing for just over a year now when the demo released and i bought the full game only hours after its release into early access and i play it near daily!! the effects and such are only getting better and i have such high hopes for its future!! the community is also amazing creating some great things for it (other than the team killers they can burn in atomic fire) and im so so glad more people are learning about it and playing it!!!

@szymoncio_spoko yeah it's definitely lacking in a lot of areas and would be nice to have an overall list at the end like how many megatons were dropped and how many casualties there were! And I think things like radiation and the emp could be implemented and some new animations plus semi programmable nukes (set the air burst height, change the variable yield if the weapon has the option to) and more nukes are needed as a game called nuclear option should have more than 3 nukes, but still a fun game imo but not for everyone

Recently bought this on sale. I also participated in the playtest before release. I have 13 hours so far, I accidentally played it all night. Incredible fun, highly recommend especially for the price. Buy now before the dev comes to his senses lol

I love this game because, not only does it start up basically instantly (I seriously don't even know how they got it to start up so fast...), it's simple enough that I don't have to bust out TrackIR, HOTAS, etc to play. Ton of fun. Great game!!!

Me personally i play with a hotas setup, but i have played before with my xbox controller and its just as playable once i made the controls somewhat reminiscent to ace combat and then just using my keyboard for any extra/non-combat stuff like gear or brakes

I bought this game a while ago and then refunded it because it was before the tutorials and got frustrated. Flash forward to now, this game has so much progress and its SO fun to play after learning through tutorials and messing around in PVE servers, even with like 3 hours of playtime!

A cool idea for this game would be an rts light where you build buildings to produce ground units that capture nearest control point kinda like COH series while you defend the ground assault from the air. Im thinking about getting this game.
