I'm so glad my MT-10 has electronic cruise control. Used to have a Go-Cruise on my Z1000 and it worked ok, but nothing compares to electronic cruise control.

If you had this, you wouldn't miss electronic cruise control. This is light-years better than the go cruise. Even though you don't need something like this, you should still recommend it to others that may not have cruise control. It's also a great option if you get a different bike that lacks cruise control.

This was a great video. I have sifted through all the comments and it seems the number one complaint is the price. Well. True, it is pricy or what it is, and I doubt it will ever be less. But I can also say that if you pay less for anything else, you will be getting a lot less. Like, stuff that don’t work or barely does

Agreed! It is more expansive than the rubber band lever style ones that are awful, but this one is built very high quality, actually took it off the rebel, its going on the z1000 now!

Ugg Just installed mine and it actually increases my speed while it's engaged , on a flat road! Not a great design, better than nothing, I guess.

Engage it then tweak it by twisting the throttle till it holds speed, obviously if the road is on an incline or decline the bike will increase or decrease speed with the throttle held in the same position..

it's a throttle lock. not cruise control. It's meant to give your hand a break, but not quite so much to maintain the speed.

I did change it, its super straight forward, just unscrew the bolt that holds the lever on, then put the new lever on, the clutch side has a channel for the clutch cable.

G Arroyo don’t buy a new seat. You can diy. Remove the staples, buy some foam from fabric store and spray 3m adhesive use stock cover and re staple.

small company, quality built, this isn't some plastic or Chinese junk like most 35$ throttle locks, id say its worth the money and functions far better than the cheapo 35$ rubberband and ugly clamp that goes on your grip

@@gbner9991 I ordered the Atlas but sent it by back after two days, didn't like the top mount unit, how bulky it is and how it turns with the throttle. Also because of it turning, the buttons are always in a different position. I just bought a brake away cruise control, a little bit more $$$ but well worth it.

My company didn't actually have to close because they are considered an essential business but we closed because we were not properly prepared to handle safety to avoid spreading. Since Im going back to work, I figured I'd pull the trigger in the throttle lock, since now I have somewhere to take the bike to.

So what if you have to stop suddenly and brake, how will this react? Can you close the throttle quickly without using the switch? Seems somewhat unsafe because in an emergency you can not disengage this, nor does it disengage on its own.. At $150, this is very pricey. Made with about $5 worth of material its probably valued at about $35. To gouge customers with a $150 pricetag is crazy.

You can adjust the throttle quickly even with it "locked" you can also squeeze the clutch in and brake as normal.

Badass! I just got the other style lock that scews down and rests against the brake lever. It is clunky and doesn't work great. This looks great. I will definitely be looking into getting one of these. Thanks for the content

top locks the throttle in the position, bottom disengages

The bottom style if if you have at least 1.5 inch clearance from the tank when handlebars are turned to the right. If you dont have that clearance then get the top mount style one.

First of all, it is NOT a cruise control. Second, you unfairly bash the inexpensive and simple throttle stops that clamp unto the throttle grip and you have to ask yourself how often you really use these anyway. Third, tha Atlas is in the eay of the other controls so that you may engage it by accident which could be very dangerous. Fourth, what you call the thottle body IS NOT a throttle body and, last, you raved about it before you even installed it or used it.

Looks dangerous to me, I’d like one but thinking high powered sports bike, if anything interferes with your minor adjustments at speed (when not using cruise) could be big trouble even a poorly fitted bar end can have an effect on throttle sticking .
