I bought one the end of November 2023. It came with 4 new style friction pad Inserts, which are SO much better than the stick on pads you see here. I had to do the install 4 times until I got it right. The secrete for me seems to be to put the clamp on and turn the screw in two turns FIRST, then tighten the clamp by hand as tightly as possible. Then tighten the screw. I put this on a 2022 BMW 310 GS using the #2 pad, without cutting it. Works great! Paid $125 from Amazon.

@@waynebrunner1826 Yes, IT was invented as it IS... Like the spark plug. but Don't think that anyone is getting 'cheated' by using one of many many plug makers plugs? or RC cola and coke? Patents [under any certain production model] are only good for so many years, and then open for a similar system... Oh hey...just like the 'gas tank' .... is not meaning a knock off in the way you may think. American Business? nope. The new video ,Atlas just put out for installation ,is very good . $281 Aussie dollars ,delivered here ,so very expensive ,its my second one. The update,with the slide on pads ,are a very good improvement, as i have had the pads fail on the previous model.
