I’m at the last dungeon of the game and while I haven’t fought the final boss yet, I think Louis is one of the best JRPG antagonists of all time. I think 20 years from now, we’re gonna look back at this game and Louis the same way we look back at Final Fantasy 7 with Sephiroth

Louis is not bad as a villain, but in my opinion Maruki and Adachi are much better

In terms of sheer charisma and story presence, Louis is peak Atlus villain. In terms of writing, motivation, and impact, Maruki takes the crown. Crazy how Atlus's 2 best villains are their most recent ones.

When the inspiration for a villain is fucking GRIFFITH - and you cant tell me otherwise. We should have KNOWN we were gonna have the best antagonist character possible - because unlike persona games where the final antagonist is usually someone you come to know as a freind like Ryoji, Adachi, and Maruki. We come to know Loius from an outside perspective - FROM THE GETGO - We as players and the characters of our party have one goal - KILL THIS MAN SO THAT HE CAN NOT TAKE THE THRONE - Hero to some, Monster to others is extremely appropriate -

Atlus! (SPOILERS!!) Please give us more mythos of Metaphor! I really want to know Agrica and Hythlodaeus The First king’s journey! It could be a visual novel game, turn based rpg, etc etc. But I want to know more about this world you created, if the Dragon Shrine Shinjuku is THE SAME ONE FROM THE MEGAMI TENSEI UNIVERSE, and near the ending of the game when we face the fantasy world or reality, does that reality exist parallel to the metaphor universe? So many unanswered questions! I hope a DLC comes for the game explaining what happened to the first and subsequent kings!

No, More straight up says the reality you and him stand in is his idealized version of the old world contained in his novel. They're standing inside the novel. It's a glimpse of a more perfect version of their world's past. It is not the actual real world.

If frieza from Dragon Ball Z was reincarnated into into another universe, It would have to be Louis. The dude is ice cold. The way he carries himself and the complete confidence he has in his own power is scary. I'm finally at the end and I'm legit afraid to fight this dude 😂 I just passed the 100 hour mark. This game is incredible.
