Love hiking this trail and hanging out with these guys! The only downfall is that you have to have reservations to camp. Kevin stayed warm while the rest of us froze. My quilt was rated for 30 and it was mid twenties. Squidly is great and fun to hike with. Glad he got to complete his first thru on the PMT! Thanks for the support my friend!

Hello my friend! This hike of 23 miles is just long enough to provide a taste of a long distance hike. There are plenty of places to get off trail and several loops if you wanted to visit prior to committing. Frozen SPAM is definitely an acquired taste. Thanks Dad! That was FDR I swear! The slow mo works great when you film at 60 fps to get it to look right on film. After this past year, the PMT has become very familiar and was a lot of fun to go back and film all the spots I remembered from last year. Cool that everyone had a chance to get together and to share this moment in time. Look forward to the next adventure my friend…I mean Dad!

Looked like a great hike Metro with some fun at the camp spot having a bunch of others meet you there for the night. Heard you were cold overnight but bet Atypical was toasty with those boots he had. The trail looks real nice and well marked with mileage markers. Keep Trekking!

This is a great trail to visit and explore because of the light foot traffic and because the camp sites require a reservation. Very clean and when the weather is right, it provides some great views as well. It was freezing that night, but Atypical stayed the warmest out of all of us. Enjoyed your first video from the foothills and got your sticker in the mail on Friday!

This hike was a lot of fun. Only 23 miles and provides some great views along the way. However, it is more difficult than it looks in this video. There are some moments on trail we leave off the video 😃

Anytime! Hilltop Packs was also spotted on the AT last week. The custom eco food bags were great for the bear boxes as well. Easy to pick out which was mine despite the sea of hiker food bags in the lock box.

This is an excellent place to hike and train for longer distance hikes. There are some good views and the best time to hike this trail is in the cooler months when the leaves are off the trees. Thanks for the support!

Nice. I was born in Cedartown, Georgia. I lived in Georgia for 38 1/2 years before moving to East Tennessee. The last place I lived was Newnan, Georgia. I was in Pine Mountain the first week of March. I stayed at the Garden Inn & Suites.

As squidly said...you mean you left your yo yo in the car? Yes, it would be great for all of us to hike this trail a team and to camp at a spot on your return yo yo. So if my calculations are correct, we would be at beach bottom completing 13-14 miles while you would be at roughly 36 miles for the day. Sounds about right. 3 to 1.

Should have sung living on a prayer when we were halfway there. Actually heading there this weekend to camp with the wifey and meet up with Senior Hiker 77. Such a great trail for long distance training. I shoot at 4K 60 FPS to get the smooth buttery slow mo shots with no hiccups.

Highest point is only 1,343. About 2,500 feet total incline and 2,500 decline. Nice cruising trail.
