Wait is it not the Mr of the desired product / the sum of Mr of all products? For atom economy?

That's works too!

I tried both methods with a question and i had different answers
@MaChemGuy8 жыл бұрын
should get same answer either way

Says allow both in the mark scheme. Take a look if you made an error.

Why was the substitution reaction under uv?
@MaChemGuy9 жыл бұрын
zed chy the uv provides the energy to break the covalent bond and produce the reactive particles (radicals) for the reaction

Hi MaChemGuy, your videos are really helpful, so thank you so much! For atom economy, the OCR textbook states that the formula for atom economy is (molecular mass of the desired product divided by the sum of molecular masses of all products) x 100. Is your method another way of working it out correctly? I just wanted check. Thank you.
@MaChemGuy9 жыл бұрын
InspiredAlways11 Hi, you can do it either way as the sum of the molecular masses of all products equals the sum of all the reactants (conservation of mass). Thanks for the comment by the way!

MaChemGuy Ahhh, that makes sense and thank you for replying so quickly :)
