Watching the replay, been sick so missed a few but catching up. Love the vortex behind you, I believe that's what it's called. Love the Starburst pattern, I haven't started it yet. I love your choices for fabrics and the piano boarders are great choice for quilts. ❤❤❤

That's a great pattern, love the fabric and that collar attachment piece can be improved with thin thread. But you did a great job. When you get to the end backstitch so the thread ends are not at the edge. 💖 We are are own worst critics.

I used to attend the Origiinal Sewing and Quilt Expo’s between 2007-2014. They were a lot of fun. Lots of vendors, classes and demos. Hope you, Becca and Tiffany all have a great time!! Bring back lots of new and interesting stuff!!

Hi Ian, love the shirt. Don't know if anyone has mentioned this, or if you have done this, but I went onto youtube and googled "McCalls M6044" and found several videos about that specific pattern and also "How to Sew a Button Down Shirt" and there are quite a few videos that I thought might help you. Also, looking forward to the "Atomic Starburst" series. I think I am going to try this pattern. My 17 yr old granddaughter has glow in the dark stars on her bedroom ceiling and I think she will love this quilt. Thanks for sharing all of your knowledge and talent to all of us "wanna be quilters" around the globe. Luv ya, mean it!

Glad you like the shirt! I did go on KZbin and found the videos that you’re talking about and they are extremely helpful. I use them several times while putting together this first test shirt. Will be using it again when I am making more. Thanks for a great suggestion.

I love the piano border for this quilt. I think it really completes the quilt and makes everything pop. If you moved to the Smithville, MO area, you could potentially have Tula Pink as a neighbor. You would be just over an hour from me and extremely close to Kansas City.

How did you figure out how many strips you needed for your borders?

I used graph paper. Each square was 2 1/2 cut and 2 inches finished.
