I can't help but think they did this in response to marvel rivals. It's not normal for blizzard to give away high quality skins like these anymore. Especially since these skins were on the store tab, but now they're part of challenges. I'm cautiously optimistic that marvel rivals is forcing overwatch to up their game if they want to survive.

rivals makin em sweat, GOOD. blizz had it all with overwatch, well you cancelled the pve, you cancelled 6v6, you stagnated the game balance with 5v5 changes and honestly the new game modes arent very good at all. The content we are getting seems like making new things for the sake of it, and we dont even have things like the archive missions STILL. I dunno, im just bummed at the state of overwatch. So overwatch is finally learning their lesson. Not every skin needs to be the cost of an entire new game, and only just for one skin thats just a recolor. Marvel rivals is successful bc i believe the developers knew overwatch is being greedy and disappointing their players each year. So they stepped in and made it better and fun.
