When I FEEL God's forgiveness with my repentance, it reminds me that I'm LOVED and I can STILL move forward in service, worship, and growth. Onlythe DEVIL will tell you that "You're too weak, you'll never be good enough, you can't make it back to Father.." LIES! It's WHY Jesus Christ made His Atonement for us. We're BLESSED 🙏🏼🤍🕊 Merry Christmas 🎄

I’ve always shrunk from trying to explain the atonement of Jesus Christ in lessons or talks because it is infinitely beyond our ability to comprehend, explain and fully feel the depth of gratitude the Lord deserves. Though nothing of mortal expression is ever adequate to capture it all, I very much appreciate this beautiful presentation that truly touched my heart and mind and filled me with gratitude for what our previous Savior has done for us. Thank you.

This is probably the most important video on this channel. It is a bit sad to see that it got 6K views while the video on "When will the saints return to Missouri" got 200K views. I guess that is the nature of men, church members or not, and I myself is not much different. Great video and thank you for your hard work on this channel!

Grace is something I never understood until I took my journey with my Bishop and therapist. As I have confessed and sought out help and guidance with my abuse And ###ual abuse and struggles it has allowed me to feel forgiveness, but also to forgive, and give Grace to others. We don't only receive Grace but we learn through the atonement how to show Grace for others as well. Like for my Dad. Despite my issues with him, and as I've been navigating parenthood myself, have learned that my Dad despite those issues of addiction and mental health, abuse, etc struggles just like everyone else. He is a good person too he's just lost, and the more I show Grace to him to more he opens up and the more we heal as a family. Grace is a powerful tool. It's empathy at it's core, with higher understanding.

As you exercise the atonement it becomes easier. The more you speak with your bishop and council, therapy helps too, the easier it becomes to speak truthfully, be honest, repent, change, and continually shed negative habits, destructive sins, etc... The more you confess your weaknesses and work through them, the easier it becomes to overcome them and speak of them. The Bishop is your friend.

You may also want to emphasize the principle that without a physical resurrection we would also be separated from God and could not return to his presence. If that were to be the case, we would become subject to the devil, in fact angels to the devil. So, both the suffering and redemption for our sins and physical resurrection are necessary for a complete effect of the Atonement. See 2 Nephi 9:8-9

Isn't it ironic that most of the world's Christians you really only know or seem to know about the crucifixion, and they also believe all they have to do to get into heaven is die as if that is all the Christ did for us was die

Sorry I’m not really sure what are you trying to say by stating that the Atonement is very difficult to understand. You understand it, right?
@josephaney Жыл бұрын
I beg to differ. The atonement is easy to understand if you have the gift of prophecy and revelation. I will show you. There are two things that happen when you sin, 1. spiritual death and 2. the captivity of the devil. What is spiritual death? You spirit body is made of cells, just like your physical body. When you are hurt physically, physical cells die. and you feel pain. When you sin, spiritual cells become out of tune with the rest of the body and start to fall off from the main body and we feel guilt, which is the pain of spiritual death. We do not have power within ourselves to heal from the spiritual death. Unless there is some way to be healed from spiritual death, we must continue to die spiritually until we dissolve back into the soup of unorganized matter. What is the captivity of the devil? This is to say that the devil has claim on your soul and if you die in your sins, he has power to drag your soul down to hell. Being healed from spiritual death was the easy part. Jesus has always had the the light of life and power to heal from the spiritual death. He did not have to die for that power. All you have to do to be healed from spiritual death is to repent and ask forgiveness. Getting free from the captivity of the devil was the hard part. The devil has demanded a ransom to be paid to him to release his captives. The ransom he demanded was the blood of Jesus. When Jesus died and his blood fell on the mercy seat, the ransom was paid and the devil did not have any more claim on people who repent of their sins. Is that so hard to understand? There was, of course the added benefit of the resurrection. Because Jesus had power to raise himself for death, by dying and exercising his power of resurrection, he activated the power to be able to resurrect all those who die and to make if possible for people who choose not to die to be changed from earthly to heavenly without dying.
