Adam-ondi-Ahman

Adam-ondi-Ahman is another topic that has been requested several times in the comments. Additionally, many have commented on the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ video that it should have included a reference to Adam-ondi-Ahman as it relates to the 2nd coming. Many believe that this is a 4th or additional appearance of the Lord Jesus Christ prior to the 2nd coming. In reality that is not 100% correct. This video goes into what Adam-ondi-Ahman is, what happened there in the past, what will happen in the future, and how it all relates to the 2nd coming. We discuss how only 5 verses of scripture, all of which are in the D&C mention Adam-ondi-Ahman. We dig into the Joseph Smith Papers as well as other early church history references to discuss altars created by Adam as well as Nephites and a Nephitish Tower.

Very nice, straight forward and cogent presentation. Many of these LDS centric end times events were presented, vaguely, in the late 70's and 80's then weren't really discussed anymore. As the unmistakable signs of the times are upon us, many are in need of understanding the unique understanding given to the restorers of the true church. The Evangelicals see the signs and are looking for the "rapture" of the church, but know nothing of the deeper organization of the courts of Heaven. Thank you for a great presentation.

One of the reasons why you see these sacred and deeper topics discussed in the 70s and 80s is because there was more freedom to do so then. BUT there ISN'T now. People are just as concerned about those topics now as they were then. But some of the membership isn't listening and is asleep, and the enemy is trying to shut the mouth of the bride to not be ready for the bridegroom. (Compare with the parable of the 10 virgins). It was inspired to talk about those topics early so people could go back on their own when we're too besieged to talk openly about certain themes now. (When the Fall of Adam occurred enmity (enemity) entered the world. Enmity seeks to pull at and de-root faith and inspire war and contention. While enmity (enemity) exists in the world, we won't be able to talk about some things openly. When the Millenium starts and the true government of God is restored many things that are lost and were lost will be restored. And we'll be able to learn more openly without fear or compulsion, or captivity about many things that we want to know about now. The bride is being compelled, harried, harrassed to not be able to talk openly about the gospel like before. This is more visible when you think about some controversial topics, such as gender and how marriage under the Lord's plan is done, etc. But anything that is visibly unlike the world and like how heaven is organized wakes up this enemity easily. Keep trying to study and research some of these older talks for purposes of what we can't talk about openly now and it may help you and others.

Kevin, I love your videos. I've watched almost all of them at least once. Some of them I've watched repeatedly! Here's a topic I would like to see you address: When it is appropriate to take up arms. There are cases in the scriptures where the Lord expects us NOT to fight with weapons and other times when the Lord seems to expect us to take up arms. There's a marvelous story in 2nd Chronicles about three nations combining forces to attack Jeruselem. Jehoshaphat is dumbfounded & doesn't know what do to so he calls upon God for guidance. What happens is AMAZING! I would love to see you include this in your video about taking up arms to defend our country.

@@Dresseduptogo you just have a different way of learning. Is there a way for you to listen to the scriptures rather than read them? Then listen to commentary on them like you did here. It might enhance what you learn. And quit comparing yourself. In my opinion, everyone is dumb in some way. Being dumb is not wanting to learn. Not putting forth the effort. And you are spot on about the Holy Ghost. You can count on Him. He will not deceive you! It's good to rely on Him above all. Keep on trying in your own way. My husband thought I was so much smarter than he was. But I can't build a cabinet (or anything else for that matter) just by looking at another one. He can. I can sing. I especially enjoyed seeing a scene from a painting.....that of Christ, with hosts of the righteous and believing kneeling before Him (at His right hand and the painting's left side), whilst those who did not repent of their sins, or perhaps were non-believing or rebellious are shown in sorrow and cowering away from Him, all enveloped in darkness. However, after more than five decades, I saw something in the painting that I had not noticed before now.... The numbers of those who accept the Lord and have lived righteously, enough to welcome Him instead of avoiding Him.......are far, far greater than those who did or do not. It was the artist's wonderful inspiration to reinforce the truth that God loves His children; and provides to all, the blessings of salvation....if they are willing to repent and change to become more like Him. I am so grateful for your videos. I was never taught how to "study" the scriptures. Seeing all the ways things connect together is really hard for me. There's a great book by an LDS author that shows that there's perfect harmony between the prophetic statements concerning the garden of Eden being in Missouri and the Old Testament account concerning the garden of Eden. Something of interest for other people who watch this channel… There have been structures that are comprised of stacked rough stones that are prehistoric that have been found in different parts of North America especially up in the Appalachian mountains. Archaeologists and anthropologists don’t know what to make of it. Some of the structures are almost built like towers. The right height to be an altar. Still others form long networks of stacked stone walls, enclosures, and cairns. There is one particular place called track rock gap in North Georgia, which is just amazing. Since stone cannot be dated using any current excepted scientific dating techniques… No one knows for sure exactly how old the stone structures are. It is known, however, that they pre-date, the arrival of the tribes that were known to have lived in these areas at the time of first contact with Europeans exploring and ultimately colonizing North America. I have found a number of structures like this scattered across the south eastern United States, and at least five states. A lot of them are in the mountains, but there are others scattered here and there. Also, stone tools that have been made for grinding and cutting have been found at some of the sites.

Amazing. I’ve been thinking that there are a lot of things in the early history and what we call pre-history of mankind that must have had an initial pattern that they followed. Archaeologists completely dismiss and write off so many things because they’re stuck in the science instead of embracing faith. This has prompted me to look some things up and do some more research about a couple of things. I read it was revealed to Joseph Smith, the city of Enoch once stood, and was removed from, where the Gulf of Mexico is now. He was told it will return to the same place in the latter days. I don't remember the book, but it was purchased at a Beehive bookstore and quoted from a diary in a home Joseph Smith visited and told that family.

Don't move there yet. :) There are other prophecies that suggest that the whole area will get pretty messed up or blasted by nukes or natural disasters or something first... before New Jerusalem begins to be built. Pretty sure it is a "lift where you stand" recommendation until you are specifically called to go there. What do I know though. Some may actually receive personal revelation to go early... I'd just be absolutely sure before you go move to be there ahead of time.

It wont be caused by a solar storm from the sun. It will be caused by the same things that caused them many times in the past. Wandering stars/planets. Joseph said (paraphrasing) "the last great sign of the coming of the son of man will be a comet, a planet". He is talking about a planet sized comet that will come so close to earth that it's electromagnetic effects will cause many sorts of destructions on the earth, just like during the exodus. All plagues of the exodus were secondary effects caused by the close approach of another planet. So, until we see a planet sized comet in the sky/dome/firmament above us all the things that are happening on earth are business as usual.

There is something that has been overlooked. The “ancient of days” will give a kingdom to Jesus Christ according to the Daniel 7 prophecy. Adam does not have a kingdom to give, nor will he have one to give. The kingdom that will be given to Jesus will be built up by Elias whom is also given a reference for being ‘ancient days’ (Isaiah 51:9). We read in Revelation 12:15 when this will take place, and it will be before the Second Coming. The purpose of the meeting is because the kingdom will have been built up and is now being turned over to Jesus Christ. The policy of godliness requires that all citizens of that kingdom be allowed to cast their vote on whether or not they want a new king, and that’s the reason that all will be invited to be there that are a part of the kingdom. There will be onlookers, too, from all ages past that want to observe the momentous occasion.

Adam is not our God, although the Ancient of Days is referring to God. There is only one High Priest, and that is Jesus Christ, and only ONE Savior, that is Almighty God. The rivers surrounding the original Garden of Eden were in that area. The four rivers associated with the Garden of Eden: Pishon, Gihon, Hiddekel (the Tigris), and Phirat (the Euphrates) Josephus believed that the Gihon was the Nile. Personally, I believe that the Garden of Eden might be all the land promised to Abraham. But it also might be just part of this area. Missouri is about as far away from the original Garden of Eden as you can get. Just so you know, the trees of Eden were sent to hell... Ezekiel 31:16 I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to hell with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth. Eze 31:17 They also went down into hell with him unto them that be slain with the sword; and they that were his arm, that dwelt under his shadow in the midst of the heathen. @@james8996 LDS DO study the bible! We do read, learn and discuss why Adam and Eve were banished from the Garden of Eden and we do indeed learn, discuss and KNOW that the fruit of the tree of knowledge was not an apple.

@@james8996 the apple is a more symbolic fruit used in books and stories. It is not 'canonized' as any sort of official gospel. In fact I believe the fruit was called a quince.

You can't truly understand what "Adam ondi ahman" is without understanding the Adam god doctrine. Many people, including lds people would call the doctrine blasphemy but blasphemy is nothing to it! (Paraphrasing Joseph) "it is the FIRST principle of the gospel, to know for a certainty the character of God"! To know that our Father and God is an exalted man is but the tip of the iceberg to that quote!

Understanding the Second Coming as it relates to Adam-ondi-Ahman In Daniel we read in chapter 7 verse 9 “I beheld until the thrones were cast down and the Ancient of days did sit …” This is referring to the kingdoms of man or the dominion of the beast. In verse 10 it describes the enormous gathering. It records that the “judgment was set and the books were opened”. In order to get a more exact time frame we need only look to Revelation chapter 11 verses 15 and 18. In verse 15, after the bodies of the two witnesses are resurrected there is a pronouncement from heaven saying “the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ …” This indicates that keys have been turned over to the Savior at Adam-ondi-Ahman. Verse 18 then states “... thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, … and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.” Here we see that the judgment is being set and that the beast will be destroyed (Armageddon). If we then return to Daniel chapter 7 we see that this is indeed the case as in verse 11 we read “... I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.” A brief summary to this point is the following: The thrones are cast down as the reign of the beast is terminated in that his time to rule is over and the keys are given to Christ and the kingdoms of the world are now in His possession. The Judgment is set and the books are opened. The body of the beast is given to the burning flame. Daniel chapter 7 verse 12 then helps us understand what happens next. We read… “As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.” Here we are given to understand that there is still time when man will continue prior to the Lord coming in His glory. This period of time is consistent with scripture. After the battle of Armageddon they will be burying the dead and burning the weapons of war. The earth will undergo one of the greatest changes prior to the Lord coming to rule as the lands turn back in their course to become a massive continent as it was in the time before the earth was divided. A highway is cast up out of the great deep and the lost tribes return. The davidic servant and the 144,000 preach the gospel to the nations of the earth. The new Jerusalem is built and the old Jerusalem is restored. The earth is beginning to heal and the glory of the Lord rests upon Zion and Jerusalem. Finally after a period of many years the appointed time comes when the Lord returns in the clouds of heaven to reign. As He descends the wicked who remain on the earth will be burned at His coming as they can not endure His presence, nor the presence of those who come with him. With Christ to rule and the wicked destroyed that serpent will be bound for a thousand years.

The visions in Daniel are given but in completeness, which was given the John to finish. These are the same visions seen by more than one prophet. Like Isaiah and Nephi saw what John was commanded to write.

It does not hold water. However, they claimed Adam-ondi-Ahman was in Davies County, Missouri (Far West, MO). At this time, it is a desolate, empty place, I think because they don't believe it either.
