Great choice. I installed an Atoto S8 Ultra on my GT 5 months ago with the bird eye rear view camera. It's the best mod i have done so far. Since i am spending at least 2 hours every day in the car, i can't imagine myself going back

Good video. I'm just installing an S8 Ultra in my GT that has Bose. It's been tricky as previous owners had cut the loom and removed a few wires and changed the speaker cables. It also had an old Nokia phone interface wired behind the dashboard! Wires all tidied now but it's very loud as there's too much power going to the Bose system through the speaker cables. I didn't get the RCA to speaker adapters with my Atoto. Do you think I need these? Only way of keeping sound levels reasonable is to set the equaliser low, which is a bit sad! Did you know there is a + lighting cable to connect your orange illumination dimmer on position 8 on the unused white 10 pin plug you can see in your video. This is better than using the cigarette illumination as is 12v when lights on an 0v when lights of unlike the cig lighter which stays at 3v when lights are off.

Is the white plug you mention the big long thin one that sits vertically on the back of the original Blaupunkt HU with a locking arm? Do you have a photo of which pin to use?

I didn't use the illumination wire, as I wanted to know if the white 10 pin block is suitable if I use pin No.8 as suggested by one of your clients replying to this video.

Why didn't you connect the illumination wire to the bulb wire on the cigarette lighter, as on your GT video?

Because it doesn't really make much of a difference, but you can do that

I am planning to install one of these in my 2016 Outlander ES, but I am afraid the steering wheel buttons will stop working.. Another thing I don't like is that these Atoto units run Android 10 and we are at 14 already.. a couple more Android updates and a lot of apps will become incompatible.

Thank you, I have an alfa 147 with a pioneer now, but somehow the speakers in the rear are very silent. I was wondering what the amp should be for the original speakers, since the pioneer is 4x 50 w and the original cable labeled amp is not connected. I was also wanting some android so this might be more worth it.

Boss video ! I've fitted the same into my gen 2 Alfa 147. The button lights oldoen the lhs only come on for 2 secind then go out! Is this normal and is there a setting to fix this? Tnx again 🤜🤛

Does this work with Bose systems I get horrific static from my current unit because the stereo outputs are so high.

It does, as you can see in the video you got extensive sound setup on this headunit, so that shouldn't be the problem. I also put link in the description to the video when I installed the unit in GT. That unit was much cheaper, but I also got great sound with bose system

Bose needs a filter, because it is distorting sound. I have on my GT a Pioneer head unit and Bose, but in order to function correctly you'll need a sound filter and steering wheel controls controler. No wire cutting or anything like that! All it's plug & play.

​@@Zeghetank Hooked up the similar unit to my GT and didn't have any issues with the sound whatsoever. Also just hooked up the 3 wires for sw controls, and it works perfectly. But from my understanding it does depend on the unit

I watched the GT vid but the Bose hookup for some means the input does need a filter as the headunit output when amplified gives horrendous static. I thought it was a bad ground but jumped it back to battery. Zeghetank don’t have a link to the filter or a vid? Cheers both.

@@TheAzzyman It could due to the unit you install, if you watch this particular video from beginning you can see that the unit did come with the adjustable sound filters, however, in my case I didn't have absolutely no issues with Bose
