Even then, unconventionally colored sauces are a niche product. The color can only sell so many bottles, where she failed was the taste. The idea of a sauce is to encourage people to keep purchasing it. Nobody really knows what a good bottle of the original sauce tastes like (due to the spoilage), the one that is shelf-stable is obviously going to taste different. Those who've tried it describe it as "acceptable."

The mom works for a company and that company had a product that was being sold in Walmart, but Walmart is no longer selling it. The selling of the product was 50% of the company's income, but now that it's not being sold, the company is losing 50% of it's profit and so doesn't have enough to pay their employees. I’m so glad you pointed out how she “preaches” I hate hearing Chef Pi talk because her inflection reminds me of a shady preacher. She ends every sentence like she said something ground breaking, constantly acts like she’s some divine being and we the common folk cannot understand her. She calls the pink sauce her “legacy” but she doesn’t even care about the sauce. She quickly sold the the sauce when it went viral because of greed, not because she “needed to help us with dragon fruit”. She sold it to Dave’s gourmet because she wanted quick money. She didn’t even care enough to correctly write labels on her first launch, she’s a horrible person.
