These are extremely dangerous maneuvers. CFI's make sure and block those rudders, don't attempt at less than 5,000 AGL, and have as far forward CG as possible (no back seat passengers). We have been losing a lot of people and aircraft lately with these maneuvers gone bad. If you get into a flat spin in a light twin, your chances of recovery are slim.

Advice for those approaching check rides.. never correct the DPE. if he..AND the ACS say 20 degrees.. its 20 degrees. It's it's fine to have your own personal standards but, keep them to yourself. If you had gone 6 degrees or more he has every right to then say, what happened there? You went past 5 degrees. Not that he could fail you for it but, he could definitely give you shit.
