Legit ask for anti depressants if you haven’t. I know people that’s avoided it for some reason, but I was in a similar state to what you describe, and it turned out it was a purely chemical issue that basically wiped away my depression with some pills. Do not hesitate to ask for pills. They really do help, especially if you also have counseling at the same time

Yeah the first two videos were VERY damning about this past year. Before quarantine I’d describe the average day for me as a 7/10 emotionally. Didn’t take anything good happening for me to consider it a good day, my day to day life WAS good. In quarantine? I’d say the average day is a 2.5/10. A LOT has to go right for me to NOT have a bad day. College has suffered being moved online, professors just straight up gave up and didn’t do their jobs this semester, and their burnout just creates more work for me even though I’m burnt out too. I haven’t seen any of my friends in person since October. Even if Covid wasn’t still an issue I just don’t have time to drive out and see any of them because of the sheer amount of time schoolwork takes me because of how utterly destroyed my work ethic is. My parents are both back to work and have been for months so I’m alone all day and to them quarantine is just a minor inconvenience at this point where it’s still life altering for me. The only positive is it’s almost over. Finals are next week, my 2nd vaccine shot the week after that. But losing out on a year of college, what’s supposed to be the “best years of my life” has left me completely emotionally numb, but just living in this constant dull misery. It’s gonna take months if not years to crawl back to a point where emotionally my day to day life is good.

Keep ur head up bro I’m in the same boat when it comes to college shit is fucked. This community always here to make u smile on a shit day:)
@jamesrobertd48943 жыл бұрын
Not having that college experience sucks, but if it means anything I’m 5 years out of college and I’m much happier than I ever was in college. Just saying it’s a great experience that I hope you can have, but by no means does it have to be the “best years of your life”.

@@genieinthepot2455 I’m doing okay, started on antidepressants around a year ago and have just started transitioning off them. They definitely helped at the time but lately had been making me feel more numb than just not sad. In my last year of undergrad and I’m staying for a year after for a +1 master’s program. Definitely not as good as I was pre-pandemic but much better than I was during the pandemic. Thanks for checking! I honestly completely forgot about this comment lol

@altrivotzck65653 жыл бұрын
Exurb1a makes quality videos, but I don't really want to watch videos from a guy who is probably a pretentious asshole who acted abusive towards his sexual partner, and then lied about it. I didn't bother to check wether this whole situation has been updated since I last looked into it, but I don't care much, either. Missing out on 1 channel that makes good videos among the many is not that much of a loss. I can take it. Feel free to go look up the controversy. If you want a similar philosophical channel to watch, I recommend Pursuit of Wonder. Also, I remember him making these old videos where he promoted some kind of drug? I can't remember if it was just weed or something worse.
