I specifically remember a moment last year in college marketing where the night before, I watched a big A video and thought it was interesting. The next day in class, WE WERE LITERALLY DISCUSSING THE EXACT TOPICS HE ALREADY COVERED IN HIS VID. I’m usually quiet in class, but I felt confident enough to raise my hand in class, get that participation bonus up, and correctly answer the questions my professor brought up using some of what big A discussed in his vid. We have heavily relied on a small amount of giants within their markets to keep prices fair and I guess they were just bored during the pandemic and realized they could just slowly increase prices and blame the pandemic for it

Also not an expert or anything just a Swede living in it, however the food giants in Sweden ICA and COOP might have initially increased prices because of covid and the war but they are currently having record profits and its very hard to combat it cause we have to buy food and they have close to a duopoly. I just think we the citizens are getting fucked right now cause we left companies unchecked and relied on them being fair which they had been for a long time but arren't anymore.

Hey howdy, American here. We see our version of the same thing here. In certain areas of our country they are still claiming supply chain issues are part of the problem when we can clearly see that they are withholding supply to increase price and demand. It is leveling out a bit since they know they can only do it for so long but they are fully taking advantage of global events to line their pockets. Welcome to late stage capitalism!

Something more on the writers strike. I work in set Dec for iatse and acfc, we went on strike a while ago and got bullied into the worst deal known to man every crew member is currently out of a job right now as well and we will get nothing from this strike because we're locked in contract after our union blindsided us taking the deal after our vote to strike went through. On another note 996 sounds like an improvement to my hours on set, 16 hour days aren't uncommon, we don't know when or where we work until the night of. Job security doesn't exist outside of a single production as they can just not hire you back. It's awesome to see big A back, huge uplift in current circumstances.

I see what you mean but the root of the problem is that unions have to bend over to executive producers funding our production. If they pay us more they'll cut the amount of people we have since there's no minimum crew requirements. Its a screwed if you do screwed if you dont type case.
