World in Action was incredible. Nobody would have the bollocks to make telly like this now. Even as a youngster it hit you in the face, no punches pulled. Fantastic, already belongs to a different time.

Yes, journalism isn't what it was. We constantly seem to get a narrative pushed at us. Searching questions just aren't asked anymore, no matter what the subject matter.

Thats our house the gable end in the background when they got the water cannons out, 40 Kashmir road, can see the old mans motorbike n side-cart and all haha. One of the three shotguns mentioned was his, he always had a permit. Someone did a film of us all at home, typical family doing normal things, kids getting up for school etc in 1971 too. But to our knowledge it was never shown, there was mention of america but maybe it will pop up on here sometime. Top Channel on the Tube this is like, so it is...

This marks a critical point in the Troubles. In 69 when Labours Home Secretary, Callaghan, promised an even hand the Catholic population took him at his word. However when the Tories (officially the Conservative and Unionist Party) came to power in 70 their local Unionist comrades used the Security Committee to direct the Army against the Catholic population...much as their B Special militia were the previous year. The IRA were practically non existent at the start of 69 but by end of 71 there were thousands. The Unionists and the ham fisted UK government begot the Provies

Yet tea and cakes awaited the British army when they saved catholics from refugee camps in the Republic in 69.The country has changed drug dealers in both community's run the show they work together now killing the youth.Just like the republic in the 70s,80s when the provos allowed irish youths to die of overdoses as they taxed the dealers or republican groups dealt drugs namely the Inla .

As a youngster in the late 70's i remember the workers at Mackie's on the Nationalist Springfield rd in West Belfast going to or leaving work, pretty much all of them cut thru the peace line coming from or going to the Shankill despite it being in a major Catholic area the workforce was around 95 percent Protestant or Unionist.

Ever read the Hamas Charter and it's demand for the global murder of all Jews, not their Israeli neighbours, but all Jews? Or their claim that Martyrdom and Jihad is the duty of all Muslims? Or how any peace negotiations are to be avoided because they don't obey any instruction other than those in the Koran and Hadith?

❤️🇮🇪❤️🇮🇪❤️🇮🇪❤️🇮🇪❤️🇮🇪❤️🇮🇪❤️🇮🇪. England a troubled land,,, if England hadn't invaded their neighbour ireland in the first place there wood have never been the Irish Republic army.. And thousands of people in England would, have not supported the Irish Republic army., England paid the price,,,,when England invaded India and many years later Gandhi stood for home rule thousands of people in England supported him.. England does not seem to be embarrassed what it has done to Ireland.. No more than England is embarrassed when it invaded the Caribbean islands and brought the people back on slave ships to England and sold them in the market place as slaves England conceited this to be normal behaviour.. England are temporary caretakers in the north of Ireland... Until England wakes up and do the right thing by ireland.. England is out of the European Union and it's special relationship with America does not seem to want to do a trade deal with England... Nothing would make me more happy than to see Jerry Adams as the first prime minister of a free and independent ireland... ❤️🇮🇪❤️🇮🇪❤️🇮🇪❤️🇮🇪❤️🇮🇪❤️🇮🇪❤️🇮🇪❤️🇮🇪❤️🇮🇪❤️🇮🇪,
