In 2022, I purchased a 2004 Ford Ranger, it 86K on it, and they folks before took good care of it. At 90K & again @ 96K, I did the CRO treatment. I followed the directions, added the treatment, did the fast idle for 15 min or so, drained oil & changed filter. Here is my results: @90K, I wiped the dipstick (clean paper towel) BEFORE adding the CRO, the oil looked like typical 3K oil. Before I drained the treated oil I again wiped the dipstick (same paper towel) and what a huge difference. The fluid was the thinnest, blackest, watery substance I have ever seen. I would say that it certainly did some major cleaning! @93K, normal oil & filter change, no CRO treatment. @96K, Same procedure... I wiped the dipstick (clean paper towel) BEFORE adding the CRO, the oil looked like typical 3K oil. Before I drained the treated oil I again wiped the dipstick (same paper towel) and, to my surprise, NO MAJOR DIFFERENCE between before & after! Now, when I drained the treated oil, the fluid was a thin & water like substance but not near as black as the first treatment. My conclusion, this stuff is good, it appears to do what it says it will, and I will not be treating with this CRO for another 25K or so. BTW, I did the CRF treatments at the 93 & 96K marks, and I do notice a difference in throttle and overall engine performance.

Checking the top of the cylinders again won't do any good. oil does not go in the cumbustion chamber. The oil treatment cleans the drive train from gum up. Cleans the auto tensioners for the timing chain and other gum and depiosits wherever the oil is circulating. Nothing to do with the combustion chambers. You are better to check the oil color on the dipstick before running the oil cleaner and after running it to see if the oil is darker to see if the cleaner loosened the carbon and gumming. If it removed the carbon and gumming in the engine (if the engine actually had an issue with that) then the oil should be a bit darker or alot darker depending on the ammount of buildup in the engine. That would give a better indication if this product has actually done something.

I used the ATS chemical 505 cro oil system treatment in my 2014 Hyundai sonata 2.4L. As you know these cars are notorious for burning oil out the exhaust in the form of blue smoke. Since I did the treatment and changed my oil, my car went from 23-24 mpg to 28 mpg. I am now 800 miles into the fresh full synthetic oil change since the oil system treatment. I check the oil dipstick constantly. It has been 800 miles of driving and I have burnt no oil. I still have the same level on the dipstick, a smidge over the F dot on the dipstick. Before the oil system treatment, I was consuming at least a quart by this point, now I' am consuming no oil. I also experimented on my 2010 Hyundai accent gs with 176000 miles on it. It has burnt oil ever since I can remember, to the point where I had to add a few quarts between oil changes. I added 4 oz of marvel mystery oil to the crankcase and drove it for 200 miles and then changed the oil and filter. I have now clocked 700 miles since the oil change and the dipstick shows that it's still a bit above the F dot on the dipstick as well. I hope this information can help other people.

FWIW website says keep at idle and occasionally raise to 2,500 to 3,000 RPM for short periods of time. I used this today on my Saab 9-3 and I think it literally fixed my engine. Before was at 70 MPH I was at 2,400 RPM, now 2,000 RPM and my car holds boost for ~10 seconds vs dropping immediately when hitting red. I also left it in my car for around 35 minutes instead of doing 15-20. Oil was at 2,500 miles and was BURNING as I got a check oil level which prompted me using this. Oil was not darker for me when I took it out but the oil dripped for a lot longer than usual when draining, which I think speaks to the sort of "surface tension" of the oil after treatment,

If your car has carbon, varnish or sludge in it in large amounts no such thing as lose or not lose. Very little oil gets to cylinders. You have oil control rings that scrape the excess oil off the bores. Checking that is almost worthless to check engine flushing product. Checking the cylinder bores and piston tops is more about ignition system, fuel system not the oil system. What you should have done is remove the valve cover take a before picture then an after picture and replaced the valve cover gasket at the same time since they get hard and leak over time. What you did is like taking a picture of someone mouth when you are actual looking to see the condition of their blood vessels or heart!

Killed my truck. Never stranded before I used this product in my 2001 chevy 6L 240k miles. Really great running engine before this. Just wanted to try this but now I'm stuck with no fuel going to injectors.

yea on a really old engine if you clean out the carbon a lot of things will start to leak
@weekendwrench2 жыл бұрын
Usually happens after years and years of neglect. Similar happens to a friend of mines ram 1500 after 200k miles of no fuel treatment, guy put in some Berryman b12 which is an outstanding and quite volatile cleaner and fuel treatment well it busted all the rust in the bottom of his fuel tank loose and ruined fuel pump, fuel filter and injection system.
@JC-lh1pj2 жыл бұрын
I have taken really good care of this engine. If you want to put that stuff in your vehicle be my guest.
@weekendwrench2 жыл бұрын
@@JC-lh1pj I mean clearly not if some fuel treatment or carbon flush destroyed it. 🤔 then again if you bought it from Amazon or something and got a knock off of the product I can see issues arising like madness of course but a decently maintained engine nah

Can you add the whole bottle in with the dip stick reading "full"?
@xuSebuTuoY2 жыл бұрын
You have to remove the same amount of oil from the engine before adding this is otherwise if your engine oil is on max you might end up having a wrong engine pressure which could be devastating on an old car like this. SO ALWAYS CHECK THE ENGINE OIL LEVEL before and after adding anything to it. I can't see this guy doing it.
@emmnuelj61362 жыл бұрын
Engine oil is rarely at same level specially when doing this before an oil change is due ( 5k-10 miles). In fact it's both physically and chemically impossible.
@xuSebuTuoY2 жыл бұрын
@@emmnuelj6136 lol Well, we humans all check the oil level using a dipstick. You HAVE to remove the amount that equals to the amount you're adding to keep it on the same level it was prior. Assuming your oil level was leaning to max on dipstick as it should have been.
@emmnuelj61362 жыл бұрын
@@xuSebuTuoY it's just 12 oz, That's not even half a qt. Even it the if stick indicate max level its totally safe to ad even a whole qt. And again oil will be lower than what original put, making a drain irrelevant. You are not even supposed to drive the vehicle, just leve it idle for a few minutes. Removing the lubricant to compensate with a non lubricant/ detergent product is where the bigger risk is.
@xuSebuTuoY2 жыл бұрын
