Probably should have used the HE more, but that was good monarch positioning for being charged by a German BB. Monarch is a better ship at t8 than Lion is at t9. Unless there was some buff I didn’t hear about.

That little shack is the ventilation for the ship's steam turbines, and as such is absolutely vital. (Also, historically no larger ship wanted 360 degree turrets, since that asks for accidents and malfunctions waiting to happen. )

Ship gets ignored because of it's guns, but I've had a lot of fun rounds in it. The funny torps are hilarious as many higher tier BBs will go for the drive by thinking they're going to destroy you and you get them with the funny torps, especially the ones angled to the rear which they forget that you can launch from those angles. Just like the St. Vincent, it's extra salt in the wounds when you get them with a single torp fired from the front and they know they don't have enough HP anymore to survive a drive by. It's still a fun ship to go out and deal some fires and meme with the torps, because most players don't see the ship very often and aren't exactly sure how to deal with it.

@@Alvaro89Rus at least Veneto and Odin are well armored, and Kansas has actual firepower. Picardie has NOTHING. Her AP shell have barely better pen than anhalt, but her HE is absolutelt anemic with a miserable 15% chance of fire (anhalt has 27%) Her hull is pure garnage with Odin-level of hp, except she doesnt have any armor. Her speed is bad, she has one of the worst dispersion in the game and so on and so forth. It's the worst T8 BB, nobody can come even close.

This ship was actually available to us Legends players last year as part of the yearly WG tribute, er, I mean the Christmas event. However, you could choose to spend your event currency on either the Anhalt or the Ohio. I'm glad went with the Ohio, as when I viewed the specs of the Anhalt I thought to myself, "Outside HE spamming or maybe the occasional broadside cruiser, can this thing be even viable?"

Honestly I like Anhalt, It felt more like how battleships used to. A bit sluggish but nice and tanky with a big healthpool to take the hits. Also it was nice to get a T8 german bb that didn't sacrifice its healthpool for something stupid like the deck mounted torp launchers mentioned earlier in this vid.
