Hi, at 02:25, as you put the strap with the direction of inside-out of the camera, the final strap will face inside-out too (with CANON word facing inside toward your camera). Would suggest that you put the strap outside-in toward the camera at this step so that the strap will be install properly. Thanks for the instruction anyways... sorry for my bad English.

I just discovered that you have inserted the strap to the wrong side. I can't figure out how it can be right when I examined it closely at 2:33. It is inside out. If you insert this end of the strap to the other side of the camera, then it is correct. Actually, you need to insert the strap from underneath.

Exactly what I've just discovered! I found the video helpful because the method is correct, but like you say, the strap threads under not over the anchor bar. Makes all the difference.

Depends on the strap. Mine says canon on both sides, so it didn't matter. I still ran mine under not over, just because it feels more secure

This helps a ton. The most annoying part is actually pushing the right side through the slider, but you just need to force it through as best you can. It's a lot of easier to understand when you see someone else do it LOL. Mine is a Canon EOS R50 that I just got on Prime Day, and it's great. It does really well in low light, it's fairly thin, and the EVF is one of the best I've used.

While any way you choose to attach it will work if it's secure and won't wiggle loose, if you have an OCD tendency, you might like to position those plastic buckles so that the Canon logo faces outwards, probably as Canon intended. Further to that, most Canon DSLRs have their viewfinders closer to the left side so it makes sense to have the rubber viewfinder cover on the left side of the strap - but it needs to be oriented so that you can slide it over the viewfinder (after removing the eye cushioning piece) with ease. But it seems very few people use that cover which is intended to prevent excess sunlight from reaching the sensor if the viewfinder isn't being used, so this is just another small point - probably easier to remove it altogether.

Maybe it depends on what model you got, but for mine I had to make sure the logo on the strap was facing down (padded neck part facing up), and loop the strap around the mount outside in, from the bottom of the mount, not outside-in, from the top of the mount as shown in your video. With my strap, and your video, I had a twisted strap. If done correctly there should be no twists, the buckle should be facing outward and the slack in the strap should be facing inside.
