Mr.Ramirez, you are such a fine teacher... its a rare ability to have such expertise in a game like chess and still explain in plain language the concepts that make the expert players stand out. Please keep up the great work 🙏 👍

Another great video from RobRam. Thank you! There is very good tutorial about Rat defense: English Rat by another YT content creator! I like playing KID but lately I started to play English rat against d4 (one of favorites Nigel's Short defenses against d4)... it's just great... either white transposes to Pirc (1. d4 d6 2. e4 Nf6) or usually takes (1. d4 d6 2. c4 e5 3. dxe5 dxe5) and both situation favorites Pirc players... and this video talks exactly about that kind of positions... where white "thinks" it is bad for black changing Queens but those Philidor positions are proven to be ok for black...

First position at a first glance I would say white. The pieces are active
@danomaly8943
@danomaly8943 2 жыл бұрын
Candidate moves are Be3 to trade pieces but that doubles the pawns so probably Rf1 then look to activate my knight. Reserving fianchetto if white O-O. A6 then b5 look good after Rf1

Bishop has to take or king slides back or you win the Rook for free. After bishop takes Kf4+ with fork and I’ll probably just take the Rook. Bishop is still hanging by my math

Going through a period of losses, silly moves giving away pawns pieces etc, how do you get you game back on track

At a first glance I would have said white because of the attack but it’s unclear. Black has a chance to defend and consolidate. White king isn’t castled and the queen is about to be booted after Rh6

I just noticed after black castles he’s much better and white is overextended and down a bishop

Actually had the first position for black while playing around with the engine on lichess. It really advanced my thinking of unusual positions🙏
