Learning how to learn is so valuable in any field, and this is what we're getting here. Intuition, learning to trust ourselves. Teacher, good one here. GM also.

36:09 Power string of squares: c5, d6, e8, e6. Or pawn, knight, rook check which chokes off the kings flight square e6.

12:52. King on the block SOP: first you are looking to your knights, then the other peices, then the pawns. If there is nothing, then you are looking for how you can open a line in.

Thank you for this great video! Your explanations are very clear. GM Avetik made nice additional comments. I love when he says that he want your opponent to pay the bill at the café i.e. think when your opponent consume time.

great lesson to improve calculation and visualization skill for students like me who doesnt think twice before making a move btw rh1+ was the first move flashed in my mind as intuition which got right at the end of the video..

I get something out of almost every lesson. In this case it was the notion that one should trust intuition in sacrifice decisions.

9:07 After the knight checks and the king moves, the mating pattern is King In Diagony. Diagony---you are looking first for the right bishop, second for the queen, and lastly for the knight, if the diagony line is short. 10:23. The opponent threatens smate on a1----the bishop being the arm and the rook (a2) being the hammer. Moves: pawn pro check, checkstep to capture of bishop.

41:00. 1Q-h6+ K-g3, 2R-g8+ K-f3, 3Q-h3+ K-f2, 4Q-h4+ K-f3, 5Q-g3#. Principle: When the queen checks next to the king, where it could be captured if it were not protected, the king has only two flight squares. The king must put himself in the position relative to the queen the some as the knight moves---that 'L'. If the queen is one square away from the king, the king now has four flight squares, the 'L' squares and the ones directly behind them.

Hey, did you look for checks first? Haha. Nice guys. Btw, finally youtube recommended this video to me (if you remember some days ago I told you that I was not getting recommendations for your channel, even though that I am subscribed.).

Hey to both of u Robert and Avetik! Great video as usual. Coach we can just look for checks, captures and threats, yeah? Cuz in a check maybe u'd find a checkmate, a capture is obvious and a threat is for example threatening a piece, pawn a checkmate as well ..etc.

For the last exercice, the first thing that came to my mind was that Ra1+, and then you both started analysing all those possibilities and I was really confused 🤣. Great lesson, I really enjoyed and chess mood is a very interesting tool to improve at chess, kudos to GM Avetik and to you Robert for tirelessly bringing such good content 👏🏾

I broke the 50 with survival mode in tactics. First attempt was 40. I don't know if that is any good, but I'm pretty happy with this. I'm 54 and started 6 month ago. I'm just a 1450 at club level and 1200 (35 blitz games) on Chess. My puzzlerating is 2507 after 536 attempts @76% accuracy. I have developed my own 9-step quick inventory method, which I'll spare you. You'll get faster with assessing any basic inventory by repetition. I quickly learned that chess tutoring is not "learning", but "indoctrination". Now my big question is how to convert this into gameplay? Surely there must be more for me than just 1200 on Chess online?

Nice! Before you even realize it, it will start to show in your games. Just make sure to train consistently and don't neglect other areas such as strategy and endgames 👍
