I love how ep 18 of s3, Midnight Sun, The episode of the choice had literally no music for 95% of the episode. The voice acting was insanely great too. Having no music really made it so intense and placed me into the scene

This show is masterpiece because its way of giving off "partial truth" every now and then. And whenever you could come back for the previous episodes, you wouldn't feel cheated... you would feel this "A-ha!" moment, when you realize that whatever someone said, was a hint what would turn out to be important later. This is simply why I love Attack on Titan, it has absolute detail that makes this perhaps one of the best, if not the best. Edit: No matter what, I always get this creeping feeling and itch when I see Eren freak out. The actor behind him is so impressive that it never gets tiring to listen to his work.

I watched a lot of shows and movies but never liked anime. Attack on Titan was my second anime and I watched it almost a year ago. I actually really liked season 1, but when I got to season 2 it completely blew my mind, I’ve never seen a story this compiling, well thought and carefully crafted to connect all the dots. AOT is the reason why I’m hooked on anime, even though nothing comes close to it. And saw your take about the last chapter on Twitter, some ppl can’t see the beauty of the ending, completely forgot “it’s a cruel world”.

You know. The thing I'm thankful for is that AOT didn't drag out the reveal of the armored and colossal titan. I initially thought they would do the reveal in season 3 or 4 but they did it so soon in season 2. Masterful writing there❤

Finally! Someone with the balls to speak the unspoken. I'm so tired of pretending that no show ever enters the realm of Breaking Bad and even manages to rival and possibly dethrone it. And tired of AoT being limited to 'the best anime'. AoT, in every way is an adult TV show and it's a damn great one. And with S4P2 so far, it's simply peak storytelling. Honestly, if this was somehow successfully adapted as a live action by the west, it would've ruled the internet. AoT's underrated because people think it's overrated. You've explained every argument I had in my mind for this. As a previous BB fan and ex AoT hater, I testify everything you said. I just watched AoT to shit on it and boy was I up for a rude awakening. And I do not regret that one bit. Isayama is a beast in storytelling.... P.S, I don't know the manga ending but I highly doubt that it'd change my opinion on the show as drastically as GoT....

Where he said it changed from a zombie to political story. Thats when AOT got bad really bad. It didnt setup for that nore did anyone watch it for that. The was a disaster and just ruined a really good series. It was rushed and the author did go back to change the ending for a prequel. Seasons 1-3 goated but after which is just bad

@@zm4904 It wasnt the focus or was a balance. The newer season are just mostly talking and alittle action. I and most people like it for the story(the mistery really) and action. After the basement was revealed, the story just went down because the next season went staight into the other side pov. Just felt rushed, mistery was gone and action wasnt prominent. Summary ---------Basically everything about the show ended after they revealed the basement.

Manga finishes Friday and it’s absolutely incredible. Even at this late stage more information is being revealed that gives greater context and different perspectives as well as deeper understanding to scenes from the first episode onwards. You definitely have to watch the Legend of the Galactic Heroes OVA. It's kinda like GoT/AoT but with massive space battles and more intense politics. Imagine if Light Yagami and L were on two sides of a massive intergalactic war and you basically have the show. It's a bit old so the animation is lacking but its writing is top notch (9.07 on MAL despite being 1 bombed) I'd recommend watching the My Conquest is a Sea of Stars & Overture to a New War movies before heading into episode 3 of the main series

I don’t agree with the part that Reiners reveal was without a setup. The whole episode was the setup. It was designed as an immensely tense episode and the reveal was meant to be missed by anyone that was not paying close attention. Especially watching it in ones native language, without subs. The lack of music, the quick flashback. The information came in without using the anime tropes until it goes big and they actually transform. One big setup with one big payoff. We all shared Eren’s tears of betrayal seconds before he transforms himself.

Wow AoT has 14+ I believe so and over half the series over 9+, shows how its incredible hitting top-tier consistently as well as hitting the masterpiece level so many times. @@kmn9568 there's always the odd anomaly. I've heard Cowboy Bebop is one of the greats, yet to see it though. The ratings are not 100% proof of a shows quality, they never are. They're just a form of credibility. In AoT's case it's pretty much across every site critic, fan or both that its amongst the top if not the very top. However every show must be analysed by an individual themself. Also Cowboy Bepop maybe s great for not necessarily having the greatest episodes but being ridiculously consistent when anime wasnt at the time (just a guess).

I'll be curious to see how everyone feels about the show when it is animated this winter. I couldn't wait any longer once I finished the latest episodes of season 4, I binged through the manga in about a week (perfect timing since the last chapter ever was just released). My lips are sealed on what happens! Breaking Bad is still my personal favorite show of all time. I just haven't seen anything come close to it. I'd actually probably round out my top 3 with Utopia (UK version) and Twin Peaks. But Attack on Titan is certainly climbing my personal ranks, and it is undeniably a masterpiece.

You should check out Monster by Naoki Urasawa , it’s also one of the incredible stories out there. Steins gate is also a fantastic show ! Psycho pass is one you should check out as well ! I loved it! Not as good as s3 part 2 but then again that's the best season of tv for me period. S4 part 1 if I was to give it a score woudl be a solid 9.5. @@JustAcritic Haven't read the manga and I am going to try as hard as I can to avoid spoilers(although it's pretty hard on KZbin especially)till then.I agree that season 3 part 2 seems impossible to beat tbh although season 4 part 2 definitely has the potential.My only worry is that because the show has so many amazing characters,it seems near impossible to reach a satisfying conclusion on all of them as well as the overall story.I'm confident that Eren will get an amazing end to his arc(Used to not care about him but he has joined my top 5)and probably Armin & Reiner too but I don't know about the rest.Mikasa has to break free of her DNA restraints,Hange has to grow as a leader,Annie will probably return,Levi(assuming he didn't die)would have to choose a side and for God's Sake My biggest wish is Historia to do anything other than sit there being pregnant lmao.I have faith in Isayama tho

Yes, i have seen FMAB, it's so good! That and Attack on Titan are the best anime IMO. If i was to do a ranking, 1st would be AoT, 2nd FMAB and 3rd maybe Hunter X Hunter. And No I haven't seen any Ghost in the Shell, though it's on my list. Thank you for coming to my channel, I appreictiate it!

Personally, I wouldn't call season 1 a masterpiece like with the other seasons. Season 1 is by far the weakest of them all as it, imp, suffers from severe pacing issues(between after the Trost Arc and the final confrontation with the female Titan) which might make the viewer loose interest in the show, as it almost did with myself. Thankfully, I kept with the show and have since then been awarded with some of the most entertaining and brilliant media of all time.

True its the weakest but it dont mean its bad. I saw many describe s1 like you. But if you ask me s1 (viewed from a bigger picture) is awesome. S1 try to make you ask the right questions and is a great opener to reach the following seasons. 90% of all viewer who dont like s1 see it in a totally different light when they watched the show once atleast and made a rewatch. But yeah from a standalone point of you i can understand your critique. But never judge a book alone of its cover ;)

Refering to imdb ratings is not a good way to convince anime haters because they'll just say, and for aot especially that it is just full of fanweebs who don't even think about putting any other than 10 on episode ratings. This ofcource is true BUT it should NOT take it down one bit because the show is absolutely a master piece that cannot be compared to be equal with non other than breaking bad. The there is the big big problem that it is an "anime" and there is no acting but that shouldn't take anything from it but once again anime haters grab a hold of that excuse for their confidence to keep ignoring AOT.

@@468erpeashooter9 idk but some fights are straight up asspulls especially during part 5. Part 3 and 6 also conveniently introduces/forgets powers during fights. The whole way in which some fights are built up is very strange and sometimes it truly feels like an enemy is impossible to beat until some character suddenly has a coin in their nose that they can turn into a handgun which will then be used to shoot a rock on the moon that will somehow negate the powers of the enemy. Again i love the show, but its written in such a silly way. Maybe nothing makes sense is the wrong wording but its still very weird
