The smaller community is nice because we can actually discuss chess. On some channels there are so many comments that new comments get lost, and few people are discussing the chess anyway.

It is no exaggeration to say that you have the best and most accessible chess learning content for the beginner and intermediate levels in the history of the game. In a world where people will charge money for every little thing, having a grandmaster create instructional content like this for free is nothing short of incredible. And the community being wholesome and fostering a culture of learning is amazing to see. Too often, large communities can devolve into toxicity and memes, and this doesn’t seem to be the case for yours. And I think that’s for a reason-they’re following your lead. Keep up the good work! Every sub is well-deserved, and I know the channel will keep growing!

Yesterday I finally broke 1,000 elo! I’ve been playing chess off and on for about a year but have been stuck in the 900s for a couple months. Daniels videos have been probably the biggest factor in me improving, outside of just playing a lot of chess. Next goal is the 1200’s. Thanks Danya!

I was first brought to the Sensei (and back to chess in general) less than a year ago after the algorithm served me the "Throbbing Game" of Charles White vs. Félix Lengyel.
