something that could be helpful: when using your ruler just to make a line use it with the backside up.. I don't know how to explain this. Doing that creates an airpocket between the ink and the ruler, that will prevent it from smudging or flowing underneath the ruler and creating a mess.

RULER TIP: If you're using a steel rule, make sure you have a cork backing on the underside. That lifts the ruler off the page, so when you move it, you don't drag wet ink. If you're using a plastic ruler, turn it upside down and the beveled edge lifts it the same way.

I have been doing Bullet Journaling for about three years now, next year will be my forth year. I use it mainly to write everything down that I need to remember because i have such a crappy memory. So if it's not in my bujo i probably won't remember it. Bullet journaling really helped me clear my mind because it's less things that I have to think about. The only tracking that I do is my economy becuase everything else I just fail at. But for me the most important thing is to keep the layout simple and not doodle on every page but to leave room for a artsy monthly cover page and a quote for the month. Here are my tip for you, start simple. If you make it to complicated you probably won't continue with it. If you want you can always try different thing out for a month or two to see if you will stick with it, but try one thing at the time so you won't be overwhelmed. Add things slowly and stop including them or change them as soon as you realise it's not working. Bullet Journals is suppose to help you with your everyday and not feel like a chore.

I have started building the journal for 2021 and it is different from my 2020 journal. No doubt through the year I will tweak it again, until I find the sweet spot that works for me. As much as I love all the works of art that some bullet journals are, I am not able nor willing to spend so much time on it. To me it is mainly a tool. When I have time and inspiration, I'll spruce it up. When I don't have time or inspiration, I'll leave it as is or use some stickers. Any way, long story to tell you I loved this vid.

Lol, I literally had my bujo on my lap when I clicked on this video. I've been bullet journaling since February, and I really like it, although it certainly hasn't been frustration-free or mistake-free... but that's what white-out tape is for =P I highly recommend penciling in the basic idea of something before using pen. Simple color-coding (colored pencils, markers, pens, whatever) goes a long way, and little stickers can add fun and color without taking time to draw something you'll only see for a week. Also, the goals you wrote down were a great start, but I would encourage you to flesh them out some more. (For example, instead of "exercise more," one could write "bike, talk a half-hour walk, or play exercise video game at least 3 times a week"). That way it's way more manageable, and easier to see how you're doing, and you can use that as a foundation for creating monthly/weekly goals. (I am by no means a master of this... I just have years of experience setting big, vague goals and getting discouraged under my belt, and am just sharing advice I've heard/experienced.) The most important part is: make it work for you. If you find yourself not using a page, experiment with a different layout, or scrap it entirely. You're the boss of it =) Oh, and, despite the fact that you're unlikely to go on many outings in the near future, bullet journaling is still useful while in quarantine. My area was only shut down for two months, but mine helped me achieve things, like remembering to be useful around my parents' house, instead of being a useless lump, lol

Chloe's handwriting is painfully good. Why can't I have that amazing handwriting?

Love how you bullet journal like I did when I tried! The self-care bit, I could hear myself saying that! Also, I never actually go back and do it then, or when I do go back I've forgotten what I wanted to do there 😂😅This is why I'm not doing bullet journals anymore 😂 Hope you manage to use it though!

Someone needs to go back and count how many times Chloe uses the word "wonky" to describe her artwork 😂

I actually asked for a bullet journal for Christmas so i could keep track of daily tasks and important topics to discuss in therapy. The mood tracker is a good page. I actually am going to do that in mine. Thank you chloe for all the great ideas

2020... no words... but I’ve tried bullet journaling with little success. Good on you for giving it another go! I myself am going to get a new planner and set goals for the new year! Looking forward to your videos!

So nice that you show the mistakes, smudges etc! I feel a lot more normal.
