You should be able to siphon without sucking on the pipe haha. Place the entire hose into the pool when it's filled with water. Once filled with no air, put your thumb on the end to create a seal. Whilst maintaining the seal, pull the hose pipe down to the drainage. The water should maintain in the pipe and once you take your thumb off the water should flow as long as that end is lower than the end.
