I thought the drivibg class, the speed and acceleration was accurate and something a lot of people never seemed to notice was the automitic gearbox was exactly like a real one Low revs and slow progressions through the gears when it was touched lightly, then vise versa when you floored it! I still remember one time, I had a taxi and I drove it really quickly into a small wall. On the other side a few meters were 2 cops that were talking to each other, and the sign on the top of my taxi flew off and hit one of the cops, knocking him over. The other cop looked at me and said something to the effect of “what the hell man?” I remember thinking at that moment how far ahead of its time the game was. Not only did the physics allow the sign to fly off and bowl the cop over, the AI recognised I caused the sign to fall off and began berating me. A number of small experiences like this made me have tremendous respect for this game

Steve O depends it was worth it to me because I owned all these games digitally I literally just rebeat gta iv with all the dlc and on the xbox one the graphics arent that much worse than the xbox one version of gta v because they were both technically developed for the 360 era just look up gta iv xbox one x gameplay videos to see the difference. its also worth it for games like skate 3 and read dead redemption 1 which run beautifully as well

GTA IV had a bunch of things that cost a lot of time and money to implement, were so impressive, yet we only rediscover and truly appreciate them when they're gone, replaced with constant cashgrab additions and laziness. GTA IV is as impressive as day one, GTA V was pretty impressive day one and everything went down faster and faster, when the game started getting compared with the older ones, when rockstar ditched singleplayer, when rockstart completely ruined online... The narative falls flat on it's ass half way through, Trevor is inconsistent as fuck I mean the whole way through the game he talks about fuck Michael and killing Michael then he finally gets to fuck him over then saves him. Or how about that sorry ass excuse of an antagonist Martin Madrazo, you pay off 2 mill to him skip town and all in fear of him the game builds him up as an O.G then Trevor just cuts his ear off and no retaliation... WTF Was all the first act for then if he's just a little bitch? Then there's the IAA who spend the whole game fucking with you and of course you can't do shit because they are government but then the last act suddenly forgets the fact and you do what could have been done from the very beggining. Latly 80% of the missions are garbage go collect this crap for the actuall fun mission or drive 90 miles to deliver a car then get fucked over on the deal like you do literally every person in GTA 5 fucks you over and doesn't pay you. To say GTA 5 had the best story is an insult to basic story telling.

Well that's more gamplay than it is story but you are right that GTA 4 did have it's fair share of annoying missions esspecially the chase ones but I never found them boring just difficult or irritating I found my self being bored way too often in GTA 5 here's a few examples 1. That goddamn lame ass Trevor mission at the docks where you preform manual labour for a half hour in a video game... 2. Every single set up for the heists, I don't want to go get 10 odd things across the map before I can do the mission, esseccially when it requires driving a 10mph hour drill bore across the map. 3. In GTA 4 you meet some very intersting side characters with cool and unique side missions in GTA 5 you will be driving a toe truck or collecting sea scraps in a 1 inch per hour submerine.

Edo Fluit I'll tell ya why. Most of the story is completely contrived. The characters most of the time are there just to continue the plot and nothing more. It also felt like a shitty hollywood blockbuster that I was never a fan of. The story doesn't satisfy me at all, and i'm not the only one. How often do you go to play campaign of GTA V? Most of us never play the story more than once. It also has a shitty soundtrack. It feels like a ripoff of Heat, the only heist movie i've really enjoyed. And don't get me started on Online. Jeezus it is such a grind. GTA 4 Online was so enjoyable because it was simple. Those are my reasons.

A lot of people call it grey and ugly, I call it new york noir feeling atmosphere that works for the dark gritty urban setting. In terms of graphical prowess, well naturally things evolve, so GTA V does have better graphics. But when GTA IV came out it was my cake, I had it and I ate it too. And guess what brother, it tasted fucking delicious. I may go and have some more soon, grab my fork and maybe drizzle some cream over it

in GTA IV, when i’m bored with killing people and pigs, i usually drive around the town casually like the AI did. It feels very nice compared to GTA V because the AI wouldn’t flip you off all the time like V does, and the way the suspension of the car reacts to potholes on the road are sooo satisfying.

Gta 4 was very impressive at the time but I still had and still have more fun with vice city. 5 is kind of a lil gem for me I played the shit out of multiplayer at launch and really enjoyed single player. What GTA IV lacked in map size, it’s sure made up for it in the depth of detail. When GTA 5 released it was originally produced on the 360/PS4 same as IV only V was significantly larger map wise and had a lot more in the game like three playable main characters for example. With the restrictions at the time I believe they sacrificed some of those small details seen in IV for the good of game. Yeah some of those small details we know and love in IV aren’t in V, but overall V is amazing in its own way and I love it just as much as I did IV when that was released.

GTA IV was honestly the best GTA next to San Andreas for me and it honestly pisses me off that GTA V has none and necessarily have removed the best speeches that Grand Theft Auto 4 have to offer it feels to me like with every single GTA they constantly take out things that we admire and like when making a new GTA and to top it all off things in GTA V are hella expensive and if you're not rich enough to buy Shark cards you're stuck hearing little kids brag about their mom buying them a $20 shark card and because of that they don't have to grind for anything and you're stuck being the only one trying to complete missions and actually play the game the right way

I can't help but notice, but whenever people try and take a jab about how "omg GTA IV was a gem and GTA V sux," they always point at the online and its overpriced vehicles. Their overhype and scummy business practices for the online aside, that doesn't suddenly take away from the single player campaign, which is fantastic. Like hell if we judged GTA IV based soley on its online it would be a game where there's nothing to do (since short of the extra game modes, it's just roaming around with no goal.)

Have you noticed how the traffic lights sway with the wind? There's even a very weak "rusty metal" (?) noise if you stand right below them. It's easier to notice in a windy day with few cars around. Tree leaves also move variably depending on the weather. Also, if it's windy or stormy, they make the characteristic noise of leaves moving. These are very small details, but they caught my attention the first time I played the game and I couldn't not be amazed ever since!
