Great info on California Dave. When I left Silicon Valley in 2015, the PUC approved a 30% increase on electric rates. As you mentioned the 40% increase in 2020 was massive too. Friends and relatives out in California are now at nearly a 100% increase in their utility bills since 2015. My Airspool 12k btu solar heat pump has been a real joy as the weather cools down here in AZ. I owe you a report !! I am subscribed to your channel and the dc nanogrid concept !!

If you could get a team of HVAC guys that installed these solar mini splits I would think you would clean up! Problem is that many of us just don't have the mechanical skill set to get this done. Sad, but true.

Check these out...newly announced... kzbin.info/www/bejne/b2a7fnR-rriSiMk kzbin.info/www/bejne/a56pi61-oZeth5o We include all of the tools (literally) with the exception of a drill (which you need to get through the wall). We include the hole saw which quickly does this. You still need to figure out mounting the solar panels. That's a bit more complicated, since solar panels are heavy to ship, and heavy to mount on the roof, but we're working to solve this.

Ballast ground mount systems. No digging/drilling. Can be weighted down by cheap bricks. And because it's not connected to the grid and would be connected to a single device, in many areas requires no extra code approval.
