Defense attorney Mutaqee Akbar spoke outside the U.S. Northern District of Florida courthouse, Thursday, May 4, 2023 in Tallahassee after a jury found client Andrew Gillum not guilty of providing false statements to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and deadlocked on federal charges against Gillum and Sharon Lettman-Hicks related to fraud and conspiracy.
