How to Evaluate Profile

The EB2-NIW is an employment-based visa that does not require sponsorship. The NIW stands for “national interest waiver.” This means that the U.S. government will waive the job offer requirement. The Department of Labor will provide authorization to employ a foreign national if the foreign national’s proposed endeavor benefits the U.S.

Instead of 10 publications and having more than 30 citations if you have completed national projects for a national consortium and rather produced technical reports that helped several government based clients across the US, can those projects be a substitute to journal publications and citations produced from them? Problem is when you are working on projects after they are completed the technical reports are published on a website for general public and they do not really get cited a lot. Getting citations out of published technical reports is a slower process. That is why I am asking :) Thanks !

Hi, great video. I have a question: For a person applying outside of the US, when EB2-NIW is approved, an immigrant visa is needed to enter the US. I have heard that when a person applies for an immigrant visa at the US Embassy, It is often asked to provide an offer of employment in the US. (even though NIW waive off the employment requirement). Could you share your experience regarding this? thanks
