After riding about 20 miles on a hot day my 2011 Polaris XP 850 suddenly died. There were no indications of engine problems and the radiator hadn't overheated. If I waited a few minutes it would start and run normally but it would die again in a few minutes. I installed a new belt, adjusted the TPS and installed a new breather kit because I read about someone with the same issue also had the oil in the air box problem. On the next ride it still had the problem.
Reading the forums I found another person with the same problem corrected it by replacing the fuel pump. They thought that on a hot day the fuel would warm up and the old, worn out fuel pump would overheat and cause a possible vapor lock condition. I got a new replacement fuel pump assembly ($185) and on the next 40 mile ride the problem appears to be fixed. I made this video because it might help someone else that encounters the same problem.
