Love the front rack extension on the old LT! I've never seen one of those, but it looks like it was a Suzuki option. Those bikes are tanks!

Polaris Sportsman is way overrated. If it's as tough as what they make it out to be, then it should've dragged that Quadrunner like it wasn't even there.

Why does the quadrunner sound like a 2 stroke??? lol

The real test is do a pull off like this a couple times a day for yrs on end. That little 8 HP Suzuki 250 may not win today, but it will come back again and again to do it over. I was a hard core Polaris fan, but fate brought me a Suzuki many yrs ago and I became a believer. I may ride bigger more powerful ATVs on a day to day basis, but I will always keep a Suzuki LTF250F or LTF300F King Quad in my stable, just in case of a zombie apocalypse or alien attack... there is reliable and tough, and then there is Chuck Norris unbreakable - that is these old Suzuki's.
@Grainsauce7 жыл бұрын
Yeah its not 8hp they are rated at around 14 to 16, if you look at the old honda 125's and 150s they put out around 8-9 hp
@waults7 жыл бұрын
Grainsauce Just going by what the Suzuki mechanic at my dealer told me, said the 250 was around 8hp and the 300 KQ was 11. No doubt the Hondas may be rated higher, you get reminded of that anytime you go riding with them. And the reason the 250 sounds like a 2 stroke is because it will rev to around 11000 rpm.
@Grainsauce7 жыл бұрын
Oh Yeah maybe there are at 8hp, dang I didn't know that rev ed to 11000 rpm.....

You should find a 1998 Polaris XCR 440. It would make a great project and fun for the winter. Put a long track on her and a 700 engine in it and that will beat newer sleds.
@MW-dot8 жыл бұрын
I had that same setup but with no long track and it was quick
@Ronathon028 жыл бұрын
+Payton Stadler i have one right now, i bought it for 1,300 bucks 2 years ago with around 3,500 miles or something near according to the seller. This thing really hauls ass for a 440, its alot more fun than my 02 edge X 600. It is also amazing on the trails. Out of all the sleds ive had, this sled has easily been the most reliable and enjoyable sled so far. Cant wait to ride the new 2017 XCR 600/800 in the future.

That's stupid, if you want a 700 just buy the 98 xc 700 and put the racer seat and clear tank on it instead of hacking up a 440. The 98 xcr 440, xc 600, and xc 700 all had the exact same chassis. I have a 98 xc 600 with the xcr style seat and a clear tank.
@Ronathon028 жыл бұрын
+Horsepower Garage i guess you have a point but i thought the xcr 440s from that year were clutched differently and had other stuff different from the 600s and 700s.
@Ronathon028 жыл бұрын
+Horsepower Garage You should try to find the 98 xcr 440 hood and slap her on the 700.
