We are filming it right now so the test should be up in a week or two. There are no changes for '08 so what we said about the '07 will apply to the '08. We were wishing for EFI to trickle down to the 450 but not yet. Just rode it again today - so smooth, maybe the smoothest 400-450 there is. Doug

@chancerbob95 Probably a pretty good one. Or also take a look at the King Quad 400!

Are those the only choices? I much prefer the King Quad 500 or Grizzly 550.

@DARKSHADOWblack Either one is a good choice. The KQ450 is a good all-around machine. My ex-girlfriend has a KQ450, and I liked it better than my Brute Force 750. However, the KQ hasn't been updated since it's introduction. But the Grizz450, has been updated for 2011. It has anew lighter frame (lighter than the KQ) and now offers other improvements including EPS. The KQ450 is the same physical size as the 500/700/750, while the Grizz450 is smaller, fitting better on tight trails.

Without a doubt the Grizzly! The King Quad 700/750, the Grizzly 700, and the Brute Force 750 are my all-time favorite big bore machines! You will find that the KQ450 is by far the worst of the King Quad family mostly because of that engine. Even the 500 is an incredible machine!

@DARKSHADOWblack PART 2: Either machine has good reliability. But Yamaha seems to have a slight edge. Yamaha is known for the best belt drive CVT trans in the business. The Grizz450 is the smaller machine and fits better on tight trails. But the KQ450 fits larger riders better. I rode my ex-girlfriend's KQ450 and noticed the twitchy steering with the stock tires. It was worse in 4wd with the front diff locked. The KQ has EFI and 4 valves. The Grizz has a carb and 2 vales and less power.

Depends a lot on how much and how big - mud takes power and this machine limited in that department - especially compared to the new 500.

@ATVTVCOM my bud has a KQ450 and i just like the inovation of the yamaha. how do u think they would compare out on the trail side by side?

The 450 is nothing like an Eiger - except that it's a Suzuki. The 400 is the latest version of the Eiger.

Nothing substantial without doing internal engine mods. You can add a better air filter but that is pretty minor.

I'm Currently looking at an 07 Kingquad 700. Is the steering twitchy on the 700 like it is on the 450?

Which to you think is better for speed and trail riding the 2008 grizzly 700 or 2004 sportsman 700 twin ?

It is much less powerful and far rougher running than the 500. I would highly suggest the 500 over the 450.

@chancerbob95 They are very, very close. The Suzuki needs radial tires more than the Yamaha to handle properly.

no i mean the 2009 model is like the eiger and i dont like the eiger...now i have not seen the 2009 model in person but i like this model and the 2008 model more.
