How do you prepare a bird-of-prey for film work? How long does it take to get a shot ready for the cameras?
Today Jo and 'Mohave' begin the process of developing a fictitious shot for a fictitious script, starting with a working-name, and progressing through the very first step to create an exciting scene.

Yep. If anyone's curious, the technical term for it is 'Desensitization.' Variants of the process can be used with just about any animal or bird (yes, even humans). Jo, question: The incidental music track you used for the clips of walking Mohave around the ATV -- What group was that? The way it was arranged, it sounded like it might have been another track from the group 'Wild'. Thanks!

That was a succesful experiment. Work them up to doing "wheelies" with you. Getting them to wear crash helmets. Should be easy since they ate already used to wearing hoods.

Good afternoon Rob; This is more about the _development_ of what's referred to as an "action shot", that is, principle 'A' (me on the ATV) is doing an action (driving the ATV) and the non-human performer, 'Mohave', joins the action (flies in/alongside the moving vehicle), then lands on my glove as I slow to a stop. No hoods/helmets for 'Mohave' as I don't believe in hooding buzzards, and *no* craziness on the machine whilst he's involved in the action - safety *must* be paramount at all times when non-human performers of any species are involved in action for cameras.
