this entire episode and the storyline surrounding casey's death is still absolutely heart-wrenching to watch over 30 years later. as a disabled viewer, i loved seeing casey represent the disabled community, and i wish they could have kept him on the show. so many soaps go out of their way to "cure" disabled characters rather than show that we can live happy successful lives. it would have been great to see that on the show. everyone here gives stellar performances and i cry every single time i watch this episode. all that said, and as much as i love casey and understand his decision, i do think what he did was unfair to lyla. i think that, in trying to shield lyla from all the pain, he didn't give her the opportunity to have a voice in his care or in their relationship. so many people are coming to lyla with all of these game-changing stories about casey, and all lyla can say is "i didn't know." i think if margo hadn't done what casey asked, that lyla could have made the right decision. but in his love and his desire to keep her safe, he took that opportunity away from her. i think if casey had been more open with lyla, she would have understood.

Wouldn’t Margo have been arrested by now? Ah, there’s nothing like Scott Bryce as Craig. He’s as stunning as any musclebound hunk that traipsed through Oakdale.

Margo shouldn't be arrested period! Every person should have the right to refuse life support and choose how they want to die! I can't believe thirty years after this aired we are still fighting this basic right of choice.SMH. Not to mention any Doctor who wants to force people who are terminally ill to live like that are trying to play God.

Anne Sward and Ellen Dolan were not that very far apart in ages in real life. Sward is not old enough to be Dolan's mother.
