the part Aubrey played was actually written FOR her after she met with some of the writers, they thought she was really weird in a great way, and wanted to showcase it. in the original pilot (Not the one that aired, the one they used in pre-release screenings such as the screenings for critics) the characters name was actually Aubrey, not April.

@@percussionnow5982 Nobody knows if the pilot would get picked up or not for most comedy shows. So there isn't any character development before cast is picked up. For example, the writers didn't do much writing before the cast was finalized in the big bang theory. It just had a central idea of what happens when two nerds move to be neighbors to a pretty girl. When they found two excellent actors befitting the roles of Sheldon and Leonard,. they shot the pilot. The Penny in the pilot was not even the one in the actual series. Not much happens before the pilots gets picked. Literally multiple hundreds of pilots (thereby shows/stories) get rejected every year by various networks. Some groups produce multiple show pilots and shop around each season in the hope of getting picked. Can't spend much effort or resources if it's not getting picked.

Yeah, but none of that has anything to do with thinking suffocation is a good and peaceful way to die. You can breathe with all of the other things you mentioned. But the feeling of not being able to breathe is one of the very worst feelings and is one of the very worst ways to die and is not peaceful in the slightest. You don't just fall asleep. You struggle, tooth and nail, you feel the death coming, the burning in your lungs, the pain, the panic. It's Hellish and the panic is probably even worse than the pain. Same thing for drowning too. It's comparable to burning alive. I'd rather burn.

Audrey is defiantly in the high functioning Autism spectrum. I've been fallowing her interviews and many red flags come up. Now that she mentions the comfort she feels from being in a small confined space and squeezed "Crushed" is typical of some Autistic people . Compression jackets are some time used to comfort and calm severely impacted autistic children.
