That's brilliant advice from Cole at 7:00. Back in 1989 I took about 2 minutes off my 10k PB thinking about my Mum who was dying of cancer at the time. I was mentally trying to transfer my energy to her. Straight after I crossed the finish line drove two hours to see her in hospital. Sadly, she passed away not long after, but she was very pleased to see her son genuinely happy for having achieved something and not just putting on a front for her. Wow, that made me tear up typing that.

Brilliant stuff Aubrey and always knew you could do it with those two pacing you! But those last 2k were incredible. Its so hard in any event when you are down on your time to keep it together when its hurting , but even more so to pull it back. The way you blasted through those last 2k was superb ! Thoroughly deserved !
