Nice one Aubrey!! Comparisons are so handy, especially when 2 shoes are so similar AND from the same brand!! I was kinda disappointed in the longevity of the first Cloudmonster, and the outsole sure wore out quickly!

100% spot on Aubrey, I love the Eclipse and it gets better the more miles you put into it. Other than the Cloud Surfer 7, all the other On Running shoes are too firm for me but, as you said, the Eclipse and CS7 are game changing for On! Nearly at 10k too bro!

The eclipse turned things around for me! I can’t see the monster the same way 😂😂😂. It’s all about cloud tech phase. The CS7 and Eclipse are amazing. The only other shoe that is world standard is the Cloud Boom Echo. Don’t get me wrong is still love my stratus 2 and 3 but these new ones are revolutionary

I like your channel! You say it how it is. I'm not a runner but need the most comfortable sneakers on foot to walk around. I have my Ultra Boost, Invisible, and Nible 25. Looking for an ON sneaker now. Cloudeclipse or Cloudsurfer? The Cloud Monster 2 might not be as comfortable judging from your videos.

I have the Monster 2, the Eclipse & two pairs of Surfer. Love them all. Just like the 1080s, the More & Puma Nitros sitting next to them. Favourite shoe ever though? Boston 12.. PBs flow out of that shoe like water.. in the Ons? I really can't choose. Different days, different shoes.. same buzz.

My gf got me the Monster 2’s for my birthday recently, I’ve never run in the Eclipse before but literally everything you brought up about the Monster I thought about even with short usage e.g. lacing system, tongue. I’ll have to take a look at the Eclipses. For me On shoes are something I look for on aesthetics first, comfort close in second, and finally effectiveness in a distant third. I’m very cleanly when it comes to my shoes and I hate running them into the ground (pun intended), so ironically I tend to destroy extremely cheap trainers with gym runs and wear the expensive running shoes in daily life.

Hey Aubrey, could you do a comparison between the Monster 2 vs. Stratus 3 ? I got both Stratus and the Eclipse, and find the Stratus much softer them the Eclipse, while in stability and bounce the Eclipse takes the cake. I wish the Stratus had a more resilient heel counter and speed board. It is a bit unstable for my overpronation, and I was wondering if the Monster 2 would be like that too since both have about the same nylon Speedboard. Thanks.

Subjective opinion but I really don’t like the look of either at all. Latest New Balance and Saucony introductions look fantastic. I look forward to buying a pair in about 18 months when they drop in price!!

which would I buy? on clouds most comfy shoe the Cloud surfer hands down the eclipse is nowhere near the softness of the cloud surfer and I think it is because of the speed board I think they should have left it out of the eclipse and gave us a max stack eclipse with the comfort of the cloud surfer!!!!! I figured it would have been a no brainer for them but hey...... maybe next year we will get it??!! I have both of the shoes cloud surfer and eclipse I wish I could get my money back on the eclipse...

I fully agree about the CS7 but also love the Eclipse. I think all their. shoes really have a place in a rotation for someone but for me personally, I go with CS7, Eclipse and CBE3
