Auction! 1901 Steam Engine, Rumley Oil Pull, Bessemer Engine, IH, John Deere & more!

Another auction coverage video today November 25 2022. The day after Thanksgiving. We're headed to White Pigeon in St. Joseph County in Southern Michigan. It's a sunny day. A bit chilly. We arrive at the auction site to the sounds of 100 years past. Several antiques running including an International Junior 8-16 and Rumley Oil Pull. This is the heart of Amish country. They were cooking up breakfast over wood fire as well.
I did a walk around, then focused on the sale inside as the cataloged items were sold onscreen with online and Telephone bids coming in as well. This format seems is new to alot of people. 2020 changed a lot of things. Some auctions went 100% online. Some still are. So, will this be the evolution from the traditional auction we all think of? Could bought a lot of those tractors that weren’t Junk and resold them at the Mecum Sale. They were pretty low.

Maytag at 225 is way over priced. Was not a rare model variation. Condition really unknown as I could tell these engines had been sitting for some time. McCormick Deering had good coat of barn dust. If Maytag could start and run with good paint and skid maybe$100. There are a zillion Maytag engines still circulating so bid price is an anomaly. AL B.

Who’s sale was this I lived in Sturgis for quite a few years, and I don’t remember anybody having a frick or a few of these down around White print pigeon and I used to work in white pigeon for about four years I can’t think of who sell this was
