Audax BRM600 2024 (The Big Hills Challenge 6.0) - Toughest Ride Are Back in Malaysia

This is the most toughest ride ever. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. It's all about physical motivation and time management. I am able to accomplish all of these things, but I suffer chronic slipped disc. When I reached CP2, the pain becomes intolerable, I force myself to swallow the painkiller. Everything went smoothly up until I reach somewhere around Pos Blau, at which point I started to feel sleepy. I felt really drowsy and as like my legs were weak. I was having a hard time breathing and my heart rate was skyrocketing. I make the tougher decisions for DNF. My mind wanted to keep going, but sometimes I had to trust my body to call the day off. Well, my very first DNF 🥲
Overall is not the easy route, non-stop rolling. Climb after climb & no time for recovery. Brutal all the way. I wish congratulation for those who completed the toughest event. You guys are too awesome. There is no reason to be ashamed about being DNF. Return stronger and identify any mistakes or strategies to improve. First thing first, continue to heal the chronic slipped disc and do not give up 💪...

Audax is not a race. You don't have podium. Is all about self management, planning and strategy. Make sure this ride is fun and always believe in yourself, nothing is impossible when you want to fulfill a dream. A lot of people will tell you that you can't do it, that you don't have what it takes, but if it is in your heart and you feel it, there is nothing that will stop you. It is like the sun - you can't block it: it will shine regardless, if that is what you want...

Also DNF near R&R Lojing. My body decided to call it a day due to improper rest the night before and along the way. Shall challenge the same route again next year! BTW, how did you get back to KKB from Lojing R&R?

i see... but i also stop at Lojing R&R and manage to tumpang one of the cyclist also DNF. He called his wife and car got extra space, they were also returning back to KKB.

We were too sleepy and 4 of us all sleep inside the large drain inside middle ring router during the 2018 Big Hill.

@@AllenBoey ya it’s was 2018 we did this Big Hill 1.0. The Centre link is not fully completed. No cars at nite no entertainment just white line only Some member was too tired and decide to park our bike and hop into the drain and rest for 1hr30min for a short nap 😴 it’s was our laughing joke as the 5 ⭐️ longkang joke 🤣
