Do you a video on how to replace the serpentine belt and supercharger belt with the idle pulley and tensioners? Thanks
@AudiC7Owners4 ай бұрын
If you watch my video on removing the supercharger I show how to remove the SC belt. And my video on replacing the crank pulley goes over replacing the serpentine belt

Hey Cameron, got a quick question for you. Trying to narrow down a small oil leak that I’m having. I’ve got oil on the front of the engine and I don’t think it’s the crankshaft because there is some oil getting on the the alternator. Was just wondering if there was any other common spots on the front of the engine I should look for before I take the whole front clip off to try and take a look. Let me know!
@AudiC7Owners8 күн бұрын
Hey man! Check your valve cover gaskets, and the air pump for oil leaks near the front of the engine.
@lukes3178 күн бұрын
@ Cool! I changed valve cover gaskets a while ago and those are fine. I actually misspoke, it’s on the ac compressor. Have a feeling it could actually be the front seal and just getting slung by the belt

I'd check your vcg's again just to be safe.

Hey man I got a pretty bad oil leak after a extraction oil change (10 minutes of driving lost half a quart) and me and a buddy are guessing its a front main. I think the seal popped after i accidentally overfilled the engine when topping it off. You mentioned there's not much oil behind the seal and that you could even do this job with oil still in the engine so i wonder if this bad of a leak is possible from the front main seal failing? any insight would be great!
@AudiC7Owners4 ай бұрын
I doubt it's from the front main. Did you replace all your oil filter housing gaskets?

Hello, greetings from Poland. I have a question for you, I have an A6 from the USA, a zf8hp gearshift, a jerk when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd, is this a known problem for you? Regards
@gammaraze58344 ай бұрын
@@vipp6826 I have the same issue with mine from both 3rd to 2nd and 2nd to 1st, usually while braking to a stop. I have a TCU tune with a new flush and filter, but the slight jerk persists like when it was stock. If you let off the brake then downshift, it’s usually a bit smoother. I imagine it’s just a quirk with these transmissions but can’t say for sure. If it’s seriously lurching on downshift then there’s a bigger issue

What happens when undoing bolts and the engine turns left?
@AudiC7Owners4 ай бұрын
Good question. Your timing chains have slack on one side and turning the opposite direction could cause it to jump time.

Hey man i was wondering if you could help me with something, i have a 2016 crec a6, and i have a stage 1 IE tune for both transmission and engine, and whenever i do hard pulls there is a lot of smoke coming from my exhaust and it makes me very worried, and i can smell oil from my exhaust, i have test pipes, thanks in advance!

@AudiC7Owners4 ай бұрын
I get all my exhaust stuff from Canadian Auto Performance. It depends on the rest of your exhaust but I'd get their large resonator mid pipes
@gloxcuu4 ай бұрын
@@AudiC7Owners is that the v2? and also my exhaust is all stock just got it a few weeks ago

I believe so. There is a v-band connection on them that makes for swapping out that section easier.

dumb question but why do some cars need e to make more then a certain hp? where as other cars come stock with more hp without needing to run e. for example our platform needs ethanol to make 500+ but my friends m3 comp makes 500 stock and with a tune well over 500+ why do we need ethanol but he doesn't? I tried looking it up online never got a answer on why some cars need ethanol before other cars
@AudiC7Owners4 ай бұрын
I mean you are comparing two different engines. Ethanol gas (E85) is an octane booster basically. All cars will be more powerful if they can utilize E85 eflexfuel.com/us/blog/does-e85-make-more-power-heck-yeah
@Purehaste4 ай бұрын
@@AudiC7Owners I know why cars make more power from e85 I just wanted to know why some engines need to earlier then others?
@mcld42144 ай бұрын
Its because theyre diff engines, one is s/c the m3 is probably turboed im not sure. not all engines are made or tuned the same lol, each have their strengths and weaknesses. Its like saying why the b9 s4 make so much power with only bolt ons while we need all this extra stuff. Turbos outperform s/c nowadays
