Audi 80 Faulty Ignition Switch

I developed an intermittent problem on the 1994 Audi 80 where the headlights would cut out when I turned on the main beams. Here's how I fixed the problem.

I have an issue with my turn signal switch on my C4 Audi A6, same as Audi 100 for the most part. It's the same turn signal switch you have on your 80. Turn signal works but will intermittently stop blinking and just stay on. I am 99% sure it is a mechanical problem with a spring or latch getting stuck or something. This is great, your video gives me a good look at what is under the steering column panels, cheers!

hi just a quick question which fuel are you using e10 or e5..?

Hard to find petrol with ethanol in it here, so neither!

One tip from my experience If you remove this kind of steering wheel. Instead of removing the whole plate from the steering wheel you carefully can put a flathead screwdriver between the Audi Emblem and take that out. That may prevent the black plastic things that the plate fits into from cracking. Because on mine 3 out of 4 were cracked when I bought my car. But I replaced my wheel with a Momo V35 which gives it more of a Audi Rallye feeling with my Schroth Rallye 3 Harness belts
