Audi A1 Sportback: Economical; Good Value; Family car: Audi A1 Sportback Review & Road Test

The Audi A1 is available with three choices in engines, all of them petrol, with power outputs ranging from 95 to 207BHP Entry level gets a 1 Litre, three-cylinder engine and at the top theres a four cylinder 2.0-litre with some hot hatch levels of performance.
There is a wide range of trims available, from the entry level Technik all the way up to the Vorsprung. Unfortunately the traction-enhancing Audi quattro four-wheel drive system is not offered on any version of the A1. Head room and space in the front of the Audi A1 are some of the best in the small car class, so if you’re more than six feet tall, you shouldn't have any problems.
The entry-level Audi A1 Technik comes with the basics only, including15in alloy wheels and manual air-conditioning rather than fully automatic climate control. If you upgrade a trim level to Sport you get bigger 16in alloy wheels (which don’t ruin ride comfort), cruise control and rear parking sensors. Sport trim also offers more personalisation options, including a contrasting colour roof like the car we tested in this video.

Good review. Like the presenting style. Yeah, I used this review to help make my mind up about buying one. I have a 30 TSFI arriving later this month. Tried the S-Line, but found the suspension a little too firm and the road noise a little to noisy. Sportback is just fine for me.

I have one of these on order and should be picking it up in the next few weeks. Went for the sport, as that was the highest trim with the comfort suspension. Comfort and sound pack, and plus pack. Didn't bother with technology pack as I'll be using CarPlay. S-line was out of the question because of the hard sports suspension. Otherwise would have gone for the s-line interior. Nice little car!

Just bought my wife a new Audi A1 sportback sport 110 auto , just been out and checked the car, it does not have paddles on the steering wheel? Also unless the Audi you borrowed has a pack, the parking sensors on the sport do not have a camera, just the bleeping noise. Hopefully it does more than 33mpg running round as my Diesel Land Rover is doing 40mpg running round. the quality of build is excellent and like you said its a very quiet car, my wife loves it. Good video

A own the 35 tfsi and the lag is there and is very very annoying. The best is to select economy (slower but smoother) or dynamic (faster but sounds a lot) if you habe the drive select. There where also some errors in the vid. For one, the display in this car is the 10 inch. There are only two exterior trim on this model. The ordinary on the vid and the trim with s-line cars.

Greatl review i really do like this car we have a Polo with that engine and manual and it's underpowered too many gear changes. Also have a T Cross with the 110 engine and auto, much better especially in sport mode although it still has that lag in ecomode which can be a bit disconcerting when pulling out in heavy traffic.
