Rarely comment on videos but wanted to thank you for the video! Working on my wife’s car and couldn’t figure out how the pads and the little metal spring clip things aligned, but you showed me how to do it! Cheers and God bless!

Great video. Helps a lot to replace the rear brake.

Great video, do you need to disconnect the battery during the rotor/pads change?
@CarsandCoding Жыл бұрын
No, you do not disconnect battery. Thanks for watching! :)

Hey buddy hope your well, thanks for uploading yet another audi diy video really appreciate your efforts. These Audi b8's are great to work on I've pretty much done everything myself over the 9 years of owning it...keep the video's coming. P.S.- did you grease up them slide pins?
@CarsandCoding2 жыл бұрын

I look forward to seeing some coding videos I’m super interested in web/app development and it’s a whole new world for me to learn.

Unfortunately this channel has pretty much gone the cars route…. I can start a new channel specific to coding… my daughter is nearly in high school now and still loves coding!

Ceramic plaquet its perfect.. 'i have that on my a4 b8... Behind and front 😎👍👍👍👍

Your clamp is really not a good idea because you put all the pressure on the plastic electric motor cover, it pops like glass..... Very bad idea on your part to show that
@CarsandCoding2 жыл бұрын
:) Please don’t use the C Clamp like I did, thanks for watching!

@@CarsandCoding it is imperative to use a piston pusher adapted to the model of the piston otherwise it can damage the mechanism, be careful of this

I just went through the same steps before I saw your video. The placement those carrier bolts are so bad, especially the lower one., WHY do you need to remove the carrier to remove the rotor? Engineers that don't care about servicing. I love my A4 though,

BTW, you can also use Carista get get rid of that annoying door open with key on warning. You can also code it so the e-brake will turn off without having the brake pedal depressed.
@CarsandCoding2 жыл бұрын
Cool! Next time I hook up vcds I will try those!
@Japplesnap2 жыл бұрын
@@CarsandCoding And of course you can also use it to open the e-brake motors to do a brake job....or reset the dealer maintenance reminder....or register a new battery....etc... And basically code everything in the entire car right from your phone. So much easier than VAGCOM.
