The engines #Audi #A6C7 A4B8 and others with direct injection have a fairly common problem - the fuel injectors flow, do not keep the pressure in the fuel ramp. Most often, the symptoms are difficult to start the engine with a cold start. In some advanced cases, water hammer is possible.
To check the pressure in the fuel ramp, go to section 01-Engine-Advanced Measuring Values - Regular Valve (in other versions of Actual Fuel Rail Pressure)
In my case, the idle speed reading is about 4000kPa.
If the injectors are good and keep the pressure, then after stopping the engine, the pressure in the fuel ramp should increase. If the pressure starts to drop, then you need to look for a problem nozzle, or test on the stand.
Usually, the cylinder with the current nozzle will have a " wet " spark plug with the smell of gasoline.
You can also check on older Audi models, for this you need to open 01 - Engine section - 08-Measure Blocks-Group 230 (there may be other options for the group number)
