Audi Exclusive SQ5 3.0L V6 (CTUD) Oil/Filter Change - 2014 to 2017

Hello KZbin,
Today, we are changing the oil and filter on our 2015 Audi SQ5. Audi recommends changing the oil every 10k miles but we prefer to change it every 3k miles.

10k here in Euro land is seen as a short drain interval 🤣, Nearly all Manufacturers here are longer than that now.

Thanks for the comments, it seems the OCI are getting longer and longer. Does that mean the oil is that much better these days? We change every 3k miles since the SQ5 is mainly driven around town and doesn't get fully up to operating temperature on every drive. Thanks for hanging out, Cheers!

10K mile oil changes huh? wow hahahahahahha....with full syn, I do it every 5K ....used to do every 3K with the good ol dino oil back in the old days

Thanks for the comments Ski. It seems more and more manufacturers are recommending longer oil change intervals. We perform 3k mile oil changes simply because this SQ5 really only gets driven on short distances. Therefore there are a bunch of start/stops occurring so there is more of a chance for excess moisture to buildup over time. Thanks again for hanging out, Cheers!
