►Changing your engine oil at the correct intervals is one of the most important pieces of car maintenance to ensure the prolonged life of your engine. To add to that, doing an oil change is one of the easiest jobs you can do yourself at home.
In this video, our very own SQ5 owner Eli Ruben walks us through an oil change service on his 2016 Audi SQ5. This job is directly applicable to any Audi B8/B8.5 equipped with the 3.0L V6 supercharged engine, yet fits a wide range of other Audi B8/B8.5 models such as the Audi A4, Audi A5, Audi A6, Audi A7, Audi Q5, and Audi Q7.
The kit Eli uses in this video is a pre-built kit from FCP Euro, featuring 7-liters of 5W-40 LIQUI MOLY engine oil, the oil filter, the gaskets, and everything else you'll need to get the job done. You can find the links to the kits and tools needed below.

The more cars I see that require removed of the entire belly pan the more I appreciate the access panel to the drain bolt on the F30 335i.

Hello Eli, enjoyed the oil change. How reliable Eli is the stage 2 APR B8.5 S4. I recently in the UK went to have work done on my car only to find the local APR distributor had had engine problems with 2 previous S4 which they were looking into the software.

Thanks for posting this. Just FYI the B8-8.5 Cabriolet were built in Neckarsulm, Germany. Their belly pans are two piece, the front is aluminum (at least mine is). The fasteners are triple box 8M (12 point) and there are some stiffening braces under the engine and transmission that the fasteners screw into.

9 months ago I did my first oil change and had to hack one of my triple square bolts. I bought new bolts at the dealership and reapplied them with never seize. Went to do my next oil change and now I have 4 bolts frozen. You really ought to sell non-triple square replacements.

Hi guys, I'm watching all your great B8 stuff cause I might go for an S5. Seems there is no hole in the undertray to access the drain plug, right? So why not bore one and save the hassle for frequent oil changes? Keep the content comin 💪

That's waaaaay easier than I expected. How hard is it to change the lower oil pan? I bought one because mine is cracked but my Audi dealer is saying like $330?!🤔 It's more expensive than installing my clutch slave cylinder.. 😑

@pteamg

You failed to mention that there is the reset of the dash information The first reset is the time and mileage which can be done with no special tools via the MMI. The service due notification requires a special instrument that plugs into the OBD Port
