Good fix , I've seen seized ones from water entry when there a heated unit and or from the recent floods . It's usually the 12v motor that siezes Disappointing its failed with so little ks .

Known Issue at Audi - there is a TSB for this broken return Spring inside.VW also (Polo,Golf and all those with this TB)
